Dr.Jones is superb as well as his staff but the front desk deserve some well needed training pressure is definitely their weak spot. I have never stood in line 15 minutes to get to the desk and the receptioness looked at me like I created the world's worst disease then started conversating as if I was there I didn't create your lack of know how so why the attitude

After having extreme pain in my right bicep and shoulder and having an extensive list of chronic medical conditions, I made an appointment to see Dr. Eddie Jones. I was referred to Dr. Jones by my pain specialist.
The facility is clean and well organized and I found the wait time to be reasonable. The registration process was simple, yet tedious as most are, but the actual physician encounter is where they lost me.
I was led to an exam room by a polite young staffer when, after a few minutes entered Dr. Eddie Jones Jr.. Dr. Jones did not introduce himself and immediately questioned me about my issue for which I had presented.
It seems that my answers were not satisfactory to Dr. Jones and he instantly became confrontational and very nearly assaultive in his attitude and behavior. At 67 years old and a survivor of two strokes, one which was a result of an orthopedic surgery as a result of an injury from my employment as a police officer (which forced me into "retirement" - and into a wheelchair) I thought that I had seen about everything as a consumer of medical care.
Dr. Jones is a very large man and much younger than me. He slid his chair up very close to my face and said, "lookthere's several ways to do this. There's your way and there's my way. And we're going to do this my way." That's almost an exact quote. His face was inches from mine. I was shocked by his confrontational manner and it took me a few seconds to digest what was going on here. I truly did not understand what I had done wrong in my explanation. I told Dr. Jones as politely as I could that I did not like the way in which he was speaking to me. A red faced assistant did not make eye contact with me as Dr. Jones stormed out of the room shouting at me to find another doctor. This happened within minutes of meeting him.
I later wrote a letter of complaint to "Brent", the CEO of the group. I never received a response. Not even a phone call.
There was no record made of my visit to Dr. Jones that day so I am unable to determine the name of the only witness, the young female assistant, that was in the room.
I am now seeing another physician at Oak and the experience is much different.
I would strongly advise caution in seeing Dr. Eddie Jones Jr. or the possibility of catching him in a bad mood. Oak offers several other respected and competent ortho specialists that do not force a patient to believe that his doctor has a reason to hate him or even make him or her to fear for their safety during one of his temper tantrums.
Judged by the way that the clinic handled this issue including the complete and total deletion of my visit, I would assume that I am not the first to have an encounter like this with Dr. Jones.

Dr. Corcoran replaced both my knees. Dr. Puri replaced my one hip. Dr. Mohammed diagnosed my trigger fingers. All were professional and did excellent work.

I had knee surgury from Dr corcoran I think that how you say his name I went back and had my knee drained I had my knee drained once before and it was nothing like what he did too me he didn't numb it he just stabbed me in the side I was in tramma i couldn't get up for a while just in shock and extreem pain I hope to cross paths with him again then we will see who is in tramma he made a basic paper saying it could have happened at work for the amount of 2500:00 I asked why so much he replied it's a work comp they pay better than any insurance company and thats not what i like to do I got a check from comp that I had to pay the Dr bills out of what or where did the meds go to numb my knee go it makes you wonder if he should be required to take a hair folic test???

Spent an hour and a half today in the waiting room for a follow up appointment with Dr. Puri. Walked out without ever seeing him. Evidently, his time is more important than that of patients. Won't happen again.

Dr. Smitt and his staff were very professional and very courteous. I had a torn meniscus and the pain was excruciating. After the surgery I have been pain free and with minimal scarring. They treated me with respect and empathy. What wait i had was worth it in the end.
Unlike the physician I went to before oak surgery center. He was condescending and made me feel like a paycheck. And the wait was longer at his office!response / report this review
