We've been renting here for our grandsons for several years. Always good service and no problem if need adjustment or upgrades. Best weekly rate in town. Would recommend😂

Ocean Cycles: Great bike shop in Bethany Beach, DE. Excellent service. Bought a Kuat bike rack and they assembled it, mounted it and showed us all the features. Courteous sales, quick and efficient. If you plan to buy bike or accessory, try them out. Best shop in 100 miles.

This place has really earned our trust over the past several years. Garrett and Greg (a few yrs back) actually made an emergency visit to Sea Colony after we called explaining that our son's foot had gotten stuck between the pedal and bike frame. These guys were tremendous and absolutely went way above and beyond!!!! Dropped everything, sprinted over, disassembled the bike - awesome! We visit every year for our bike needs -- don't even consider going elsewhere!!!! As a mom of three, this is our place for all of our family's biking needs both in and off season!

Chose Ocean Cycles in Bethany Beach after consultation with the owner of Fenwick Islander Bike Shop.
I needed a very minor adjustment to my front derailleur was told could not give an estimate until looking at the bike but probably $20-30 and that the work could not be done until afternoon or next morning. Probably a 20 minute adjustment by a certified mechanic.
Called at 3PM to check on status and spoke to Garrett. I was told that he had a 2 day back log with a tone that led me to believe that my call was intrusive and my expectation was unreasonable at best.They could have told me of the 2 day back log at the time.
I chose to pick the bike up around 4PM. I was greeted by Garrett at which time I told him I would take the bike off his hands without repair.
His comment to me .. " Really sorry your bike was next, I busted my ass to get this thing done after all the complaining you did." I asked him if he would complete the work to which he replied , " I ain't working on this bike" and I left the store.
I suspect that with customer service such as theirs they are not worried about this review and have all the work they can handle.
A beach cruiser rental might be the tops of what they can handle..never again.response / report this review -

Ocean Cycles staff was head and shoulders more helpful to me than other bike shops I visited when I shopped for a new bike two months ago. Garrett took the time to listen to what problems my old bike was causing my back and what attributes I wanted in a new bike, let me test ride an appropriate range of bikes, and when I settled on the specific model I wanted he located the perfect size, color etc in their warehouse and built it for me overnight and did a great job on customizing it for me with some add-ons. Moreover, they arranged to deliver the bike to their other location because it was more convenient for me to pick it up there. When I picked it up Garrett took the time to brief me on use and maintenance, and they urged me to bring it in for a free adjustment after a month of use. I've been going on long rides on the new bike and loving it, thanks to the help I received in finding exactly the right bike for my needs.

Needed a quick (but important) repair on my road bike, and I was helped immediately at the front door. The staff quickly solved my problem, and sent me on my way for only a few bucks! Don't be fooled by the rental bikes outside- they are a full-service shop for all levels of cyclists. Highly recommended!!
