Sadly I do not recommend this vet at all. The reviews here are not what you will see online if you search by their name or you look on their FB page. I took a rabbit I found hurt on the side of the road to them. I was willing to pay to have it put to sleep if they thought it would not live. I had found 2 other vets that would be it to sleep for free but it would of been the next morning so because NEVH was open I took it there. I left with a $155 bill for a wild rabbit!!! At first they didn't tell me the price, after asking they said around $80. That was too high but I was willing. I was told with rabbit they had to put it under anesthesia to put it to sleep without pain. (I know have spoke to another vet and that is not true it could of been sedated with a shot and then put to sleep). So that was the reason for it being so high. Then upon leaving I was given a bill for $155. The rest of the bill was for the rabbit to be cremated. It was a wild rabbit I didn't need it cremated but they said it was required (also not true). It is very discouraging to be overcharged for something like this. While in their office they changed the price on another person too. Bad business for sure.
This is the best vet I have ever been to. They are very caring and great with my pets. They even call a few days after seeing them to check in and see how my pet is doing. I highly recommend them!
Had a wonderful experience. Friendly, helpful staff was very accommodating to my pet during a major storm/power outage. Couldn't be happier with the care and service we received.
The kennel personnel seem to genuinely care for the animals they're in charge of. When dropping my dog off she is always happy to see them which means attention and detail for caring has been good.
Received excellent care for our little dog. Explained everything, gave options and prices so we could make an informed decision on treatment plan. Was there for an emergent situation. They stayed late with no complaints. Very clean facility staffed with courteous, caring and professional staff. Our first visit there-will go back for sure!
The doctors and staff are most caring both for the animals and the pet owners. If your pet is injured or sick they will do everything in their power to make your pet better. I highly recommend them when asked about vet services.
I have used these guys for all three of my dogs over the years and have never had a bad experience with them. The doctors and techs are knowledgeable and polite. Your pet is in great hands as these guys go above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of correctly & efficiently. I won't go anywhere else!
They love on my dog and treat him like their own! I also love that I can drop him off before work and pick him up after! How convenient!
We recently had our dog boarded (and neutered) at NEVH and could not be happier! Our dog is 'difficult' and I have been worried about having him board anywhere- but they were not intimidated by him at all and took great care of my baby! They even called to check in on him to see how he was recovering from his operation after we brought him back home. I would definitely recommend them to anyone! Thank you NEVH!
We were very happy with the care that Dr. Christ and the staff took with our husky, Koda. Dr. Christ was very helpful with advice on his diet. The front desk gave us great advice on pet insurance as well. This was his first nail trim and they handled him great. We will have to board our pet and were worried about leaving him for 3days. They gave us a tour and the facility is nice and clean, so we booked the VIP room. It even has a TV I think he will feel at home. We are confident they will take great care of him and we are relieved about leaving him in their care. We will be bringing him back to be neutered and micro chipped. So thankful they are close to home and they were very kind to our pet.
I have been taking my fur babies to NEVH for almost 5 years. The techs and vets answer all questions, listen to any concerns and are always helpful. I think they are the best.
Our 8 year old standard poodle, Sophie, stopped eating on a Friday. Saturday she wouldn't even eat canned cat food but was drinking water. By Sunday, she was weak and still not eating. Looking online I found that Northeast Veterinary Hospital would be opening at 1:00. I called and set up an appointment for 2:30.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the receptionist, continually asked if we needed anything, and totally taken care of. Sophie was seen, blood taken and the end result was she was suffering from an autoimmune disease. The vet, as well as the vet techs, were so comforting to me and my husband and gave us detailed information about Sophie's prognosis. Given all the options, we decided the most compassionate thing was to put Sophie to sleep. We were supported in our decision by this wonderful veterinarian. My husband and I were both shattered and really couldn't have gotten through this ordeal without the vet and wonderful staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital. We are so grateful we, and especially Sophie, had them to get us through this.
