North Twin Builders built our home 12 years ago. On time - and - within budget. John and the office staff, and the workmen on the site really know what they are doing. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. We have had NO PROBLEMS with the workmanship / materials in 12 years. We recently had the basement in our vacation home remodeled by North Twin Builders. This was our first project with them and we could not be happier with the results. Doing a remodel long distance can be challenging, but John and his staff were very attentive to our questions and kept us updated weekly. The end result was beautiful and we would absolutely use them for future projects!

We used John V and North Twin Builders for a comprehensive Kitchen remodeling project and are very pleased with the quality of the finished product. We selected NTB after considering others due to their attention to detail, quality reputation and cost saving suggestions .
The work was cost effective and completed on schedule. The NTB crew and subcontractors were always punctual and very accommodating .
From painting to carpentry all aspects were completed with quality workmanship.

The floor joists and sub-floors of our 1964 cottage were rotting. We were faced with either a tear down, sale or remodel. We favored the location and certain aspects of our cottage. North Twin guided us through an extensive restoration, remodel and expansion. The experience was great and we could not be happier.

We chose John Volkmann of North Twin Builders for our cabin renovation initially because of his responsiveness and attention to detail in our quotes. As the project got underway and progressed, we were continually impressed by everyone involved, from the office staff, foreman, carpenters and sub-contractors as to their quality of work, willingness to listen, and really were just some of the nicest people we have had the pleasure to meet. Living 6 hours away from our summer home, we thought it would be a challenge to stay on top of things when we couldn't be there in person, but thanks to email and texting with Beth in the office, we were able to keep things moving along. When we did run into a snag (as there always is when renovating old homes), John himself was out to the site right away and it got resolved to our complete satisfaction. Thanks to John and crew, we gave life back to our 3rd generation family cabin which we will enjoy for years to come.

We’re summer residents here in the Northwoods. We had been thinking long and hard about having an interior stairway built in our lake house to replace one that was in a strange location. No contractor or builder could see our vision, until we found John Volkmann at North Twin Builders.
John listened to our concerns, took into consideration our preferences, and designed the perfect stairway in the ideal location. He worked within our schedule since we wanted to be present for construction. The crew assigned to us, under the management of Tracy, was courteous, professional and tidy. Tracy himself was meticulous and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. We’ve been enjoying our stairway for over a year now and love the compliments when friends and family see it for the first time. We wish we had found North Twin Builders sooner!

When we decided to renovate our fifty - year old cottage, we chose North Twin Builders and that was the best decision that we could have made. John and his staff were outstanding in helping us with the planning, making many suggestions about what we could and couldn't do, and giving us cost estimates. They broke the project down into phases, and actually were able to do the roofing, siding, and a porch addition in the Winter, which was more convenient for us. We were concerned about doing a project long distance, but John and his crew were excellent in providing progress updates, pictures, and suggestions for improvements. We could not be happier with the end result.
