The college itself might be ok, but the company they use to handle their online classes, Bisk, is absolutely terrible. TERRIBLE. Will never attend another school handled through Bisk. EVER. NEC's online classes were hit or miss. A few had really amazing professors who you could tell truly loved their job. The discussions and assignments were college level and what you would expect. Others professors seemed to be there just to collect a pay check and the class felt more like high school than college. Additionally, you can expect to be thrown in with students who would have benefited from some remedial courses before being thrown into standard classes. At best I felt like I was attending a dingy, sub-par community college. Wouldn't recommend, especially if you really want to learn something.

I'm enrolled online right now and love it! Professors care and are very interested in your success. Give it a try.

Do not sign up for this college. Very pushy to sign you up and when was unable to get FASFA in time for classes, they still enrolled me for classes even though called to inform them to withdraw well before classes started. Just to get an email stating failing a class. Then charge me almost $70 for a piece of paper they sent me in the mail that you have to have to register for their classes.

They cheat you out of your money and have secret unwritten loop holes.

What a dump. I visited and there is so much drug and alcohol abuse. The buildings are depressing and our tour was horribly disorganised.

Aditonally, I had a friend there that I visited and each time during my visits I was shocked because the campus has a gang vibe to it. I was so put off after my few times there I'll never set foot again. Its an extremely unhealthy environment and I know individuals who have been terribly bullied during their experience.

So many people transfer out because of little to do as well as the degrading environment. Do it right the first time and forget about NEC.

The scolarshps are too good to be true!

Completed my undergrad in 2014, in the middle of my graduate degree, about 4 classes left. I don't have much to complain about, the professors have mostly been great, and generally I feel like I'm learning something.

The financial aid department, however, is run by a bunch of complete idiots, the women in the office are mostly competent, but the director should go work in fast food. I have not seen this level of incompetence since the military.

Not a bad place to get an education, but avoid the FA office if at all possible.

Though I experienced technical difficulties due to moving during my masters program the staff and professors worked through it with me. Top rate professors that actually work in their field, I found was beneficial. Great people and I am looking forward to graduation.
