I can't believe I did not know this place and I just discovered it I know most cigar stores in New York City so this was a very good pleasant surprise. The biggest surprise is that it has been around forever the people who work here are extremely knowledgeable and really good people really nice folks I got to know some of them and I'm happy that I did. My choice was and Nat Sherman special Connecticut leaf I would say probably a 52 gauge was Nicaragua tobacco that was one bad son of a gun in a good way that cigar was delicious. They keep all their cigars and Optimum condition ready to be smoked that instant. This cigar store is one I will return to hopefully many times.
Went here for the 1st time and couldn't stay away every day I was in NYC after. Adam is an awesome person and salesperson. Extremely knowledgeable and I will definitely be back again.
Fantastic experience. Despite being drenched and completely underdressed, I was attended to with the utmost respect - extremely knowledgeable staff, and the furnishing in the establishment is like a trip backwards in time. Tobacco selection is fantastic, smelled beautiful and very reasonable in price. Great experience here, well worth a trip.
I am enjoying one of Nat Sherman’s Timeless Nicaraguan cigars as I write. I had a great experience there. I was disappointed that the Queen Mary 2’s cigar bar, Churchill’s, did not have any Cuban cigars on my trip. I stopped in Nat Sherman’s to see what was second to a Cuban. A very knowledgeable salesman took time to explain the nuances of different cigars to me. I am looking forward to more visits.
Best place to get a wide variety of cigars and loose tobacco with an awesome stock of paraphernalia for smoking. Truly the go to place for your smoking needs. Great sales people. Nat Sherman also has seating area to smoke and converse with new people or already established aquaitances or friends. If you haven't been go to Nat Sherman located on 42nd St near 5th Avenue. Go have fun and enjoy.
Love Nat Sherman products. Really the only cigarette worth smoking. I don't smoke a lot but I get great pleasure from my Nat Sherman Originals in menthol. Living in Manhattan means their "Townhouse" on 42nd Street is easy to get to and it is so lovely to see everyone indulging. Being politically and socially correct all the time has to be getting a little boring. Enjoy in moderation and if it is a Nat Sherman product you know it's the best!
Good smokes. The staff is always helpful and personable. For a name brand place, in the heart of midtown, this is awesome for an afternoon stick.
A step back into time Classic Cigar Bar. Quite affordable and such high quality. Experience where a man can feel like a gent and a lady can feel classy.
I feel like one of the guys smoking my Black and golds after a hard day's work, talking about the market and such. Everyone is equal here. Step into the humidor. Where you are transported into a world that will blow your mind. With thousands of selections, you never imagined possible. Make your selection with a friendly knowledge gentlemen who will escort you to the comfortable leather recliner chairs in the lounge. Or upgrade to the VIP club beyond the red velvet rope downstairs. The central ventilation will make you wonder if anyone is even smoking at all. Are you actually in Manhattan, in 2017, are you smoking indoors? Is this allowed? Will you be scored? Wait, no one's looking at you crossed, they are offering you a light and asking you what you are smoking. Take off your hat, stay a while, enjoy yourself. Enjoy your Nat Sherman. As it was made to be enjoyed. You are among your people. You will never want to live this land of bliss. You are in the Utopia of Nat Sherman Tobacco. And for this moment, this is bliss!
Cheers
If you are looking for a throwback to yesteryear come here. Great Cigars, amazing selection, Knowledgeable and friendly Staff. "Cigar Sam" was hands down the most amazing person I have ever met. Its been a couple of years since I have visited but I will be going again very soon.
Always a good time Good company and Sam has always gone out of his way to make me a loyal Patron. Great prices on cigars and a very help staff.
Hey smoking is not good for your health but you must have the best if you're doing it;) I know this place for a long time, they used to be at the corner of 5th avenue and 42nd street. I enjoyed every single cigarette that I bought from here.
Im an avid cigar lover who spends $400 on stogies per month. I traveled to enjoy their establishment and decided to leave AFTER it was explained to me their policy was to follow customers around in the humidor as if they were about to steal something. They won't be getting my business and I will certainly be making phone calls today regarding this embarrassing issue
One of the only places to smoke a cigar in Midtown. Beautiful space and decent selection of top brands in the smallish humidor. Some people find the staff snobby, but I think they are fine. Pricing is a bit high, but market correct for the city. I just wish there was more seating and they stayed open a bit later.
Very broad selection of sticks, cigarettes, pipes, pipe tobacco and smoking accessories, and knowledgeable staff who'll help you choose. They also have a purchaser tracking system so they can look up what you bought previously and give you more of what you liked. There isn't much seating in the non-members area, but what there is, is comfy. Unfortunately no liquor license but otherwise the perfect place to sit and smoke a cigar.
