I went in for them to add a little gas to my air conditioner. They had quoted me $100 to $110 for service. When they had completed the job they said it would be just a little over $160. He said who ever quoted that price did not know how much gas it held. He said what they do is empty the system out and "pull a vacuum on it to make sure all moisture is out". They charged my for full charge of gas and gave me no credit for what they pulled put. I'm sure they did not pump it into the atmosphere, the recycle it or sell it to the next customer. Anyway, they kept it. I know it wasn't completely empty because it was cooling some, just not to the peak. He did re figure and charged me about $145 but, where did my pumped out gas go???? I got no credit for it!!!! That's my last trip there!

Nard has taken care of my Nissan since before he opened his own shop. He's always worked me in on short notice, called before doing any repair work, worked fast, and always done an excellent job. I haven't lived in Kingsport for four years, but I still take my Nissan to Nard's for anything more demanding than an oil change.

I took my car over to check an oil leak. He called me back with a list of things he wanted to do to the car including change the oil, change transmission fluid and flush the lines, change belts, and change hoses but he said he could not tell me where the oil was coming from. All these things were definitely unrelated to the leak. After telling him I had just changed my oil 1000 miles prior and that I did not want all the extras, just to fix the problem, he became very angry. He was rude and somewhat hostile from that point on, especially when I came back to pick up the car. He acted like an angry child.

Stay away from this guy. He will try to add on extra fixes to make more money. I left there paying him $30 check all these things I did not want him to address in the first place and still knew nothing more about the problem.
