Beware of Naples Family Fitness! Shady, shady, SHADY business practices and policies. Edgar the manager WILL NOT work with you when mistakes are made. I moved to the other side of town and thought I had canceled my membership. Little did I know, their was obscure fine print in the contract (that I signed 1/2 year ago) that said I had to MAIL them my cancelation notice. You can't email the cancelation or deliver it in person (I tried), you have to MAIL it! Their polices are set up to make it difficult to cancel in order to charge people more money for services they don't use.

I thought I had canceled in June but later realized I was charged for several months that I never used. The week of September 28th (when I realized I was unwantonly being charged) I tried several times to get ahold of a manager and was told that one would call me back soon. No one ever called me back. I even told an employee my issue and he NEVER told me I had to cancel in writing. It wasn't until the week of October 2nd (the new month caused me to be charged for ANOTHER month) the same employee told me for the first time about this obscure written cancelation policy. I have tried several times to explain my situation with the manager, Edgar, (when I finally got ahold of him) but he refuses to reimburse me. This policy should be made more prominent and I should at a MINIMUM be reimbursed for October. They are more concerned with making money than doing what is right. They're business practices maybe legal but they are immoral. They don't care about people, just profits!

I spoke with a former employee who adived this was the number one complaint from customers. They have a bunch of lawyers that help them get away with their dishonest policies. They are not a "family" you want to belong to.

Nice, clean gym with plenty of equipment that's well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful for the most part.

I recently canceled my membership after 5 years to join another gym closer to the house. I thought it was strange that I had to mail a letter to a P.O. Box to cancel my membership, but then I found out LA Fitness does the exact same thing. I had no problems cancelling--as other reviews point out. It took them about two weeks to call back and confirm the cancellation.

Great gym and location, fair prices.

I have been a member of this gym since it opened and loved it - - up to a few months ago. The new management has cancelled popular weight/aerobic classes and many Les Milles classes while keeping low impact, low attended classes taught by the new fitness director. Management has ignored our pleas for requested classes while long time instructors and students are leaving.

BEWARE When you try to cancel your membership they wil continue to charge you. we sent two cancellation notices, and continued to get charged for six months, when we asked for our money back we got the run around for two more months. This seems to be pretty common practice for them as you see all the bad reviews. they are crooks

Nice, clean gym. More variety of equipment than LA fitness. Staff is friendly. The best gym I have worked out at in Naples and I have been members of them all.

I needed a new gym, and this is literally next to my new office. There is plenty of equipment, and even on Monday after work, the gym isn't too busy. The staff is great and the gym is clean. Nice locker room, too. For $29.99 a month, can't go wrong!

This the best gym, I like it a lot. The staff is friendly and the place is clean and well maintained. I bought memberships for my kids 12 & 14 and they really enjoy it.
To be fair, looking at the other reviews, if you can't afford it don't sign up. You are under contract so they can collect from you. Also if you follow the example of the negative reviewers, use a fake name so you can slam unjustifiably without having to accept responsibility.
