Amazing food. Had the lunch buffet and the fried chicken is unbelievable. Everything was great and prices very good too. Can't say enough good things
5 star Breakfast buffet. Food and fruit bar were excellent. Buffet is less than $8 and the coffee was less than a dollar. Excellent coffee!! The staff and young waiter was very nice. Fast service.
We love this place. Excellent salad bar. Good dinner buffet. Fresh bread at the table. Mrs. Yoder is very loyal to the local community and buys as much local produce as she can, so you know you're eating good farm-to-table food. She also purchases animals from the local fair and had a fair buffet in Fall. Stop in hungry. Leave full!
We've visited Amish Country a dozen or more times. Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen remains our all time favorite. They have the best fried chicken. Their buffet is not overpriced; their servers and staff are genuinely friendly and come to check on the tables frequently. We will continue to visit whenever we are in the area.
Waited 50 minutes to be seated, which I can stand if the the place is good, but this place was sub-par at best. Their philosophy appears to be volume over quality. Mind you this judging from the salad bar only. Waitress gave no instruction to first- timers regarding its use and was undiplomatic in correcting an error made by the person accompanying me. The bar was not well maintained, serving utensil were greasy, and the greens wilting. I asked the waitress if the lettuce came bagged or was cut thereshe thought both. Her next question should have been why? But it was not. When paying the young lady asked how our meal was and I told her. No response but to give me my change. Very mediocre experience which we could have duplicated at say
any large chain like "Ponderosa"
Best chicken in Amish country! The pickled beets on the salad bar are quite tasty as well. If you come when they are busy you may have to wait but if you can afford the with time the food is well worth it.
We discovered this restaurant some years back. It is home cooked food. We were told this is the place the locals go. Every time we visit Amish country we always make a point to get our meal at Mrs. Yoder's. The staff is always charming the food is delicious. You can't go wrong with a menu choice or the buffet. You won't leave hungry. The hubby says I have to make a point to tell about the homemade apple butter and peanut butter that is always on the tables. It goes wonderful with the homemade bread that is brought out. Don't be discouraged if the place looks packed. They are very good about clearing out a table to seat the next in line. Well worth the wait.
One of my all-time favorite places to eat! I LOVE coming here for their Breakfast or Dinner Buffet. Always, Awesome food! Service with a smile. Country, home cooked food at its finest. Everything is made from scratch, in house. The best Country fried chicken I have ever eaten. I also LOVE the Pot Roast and those Mashed Potatoes and gravy. The salad bar is huge and always fresh. Everything they make is fresh. Then there is the decadent deserts. Man oh man. My favorites are the Chocolate cake with caramel cream icing, Strawberry pie, and the Peach pie; when they are in season. The breakfast buffet is one of the nicest I have had. Nothing like a hearty country breakfast. Man I am getting hungry just writing this review. This is one of my MUST GO TOO restaurants. I try to make it down to Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen at least two to three times a month. I grew up on a farm and it reminds me of my mom's cooking. So my visit's here are like going home. The locals love dining here, as well. You may also order off the menu, if buffets are not your interest. So make Mrs. Yoder's Kitchen your GO TOO PLACE.
Expect a wait, but totally worth it! Make sure to try the stuffing (dressing) it's phenomenal! Save room for dessert!!!
Love Mrs Yoder's! This is by far our favorite Amish country restaurant.
Update: A year later, another visit! Still the best value and meal we've found in Amish country.
Excellent buffet! Food is always fresh. The service is excellent. If you come down for the Amish stores and such, be sure to try out Mrs. Yoder's.
The place was packed when we got there. They told us it would be about a 25 minute wait. Most of the people waiting were Amish or Mennonite, but it was cool to see that no one had a cell phone out. When we got our table, we decided on the dinner buffet. The food was excellent. It was probably the best friend chicken I've ever had. We will visit this place again on our next trip to Berlin.
