Delicious food at affordable prices, but expect a long wait. Ambience is like a family-run roadside dinner. Definitely get the Key Lime Pie, it was superb, as were all the fish dishes we had.

Customer service was great. We went for lunch there. Finding a parking spot was a bit difficult though. The fish they served were freshly caught & served with home made sauce. Their key lime pie is certainly not overrated. Don't miss it.

Best food I've had in a tourist town ever. Very reasonable prices (they could definitely charge more..) Server and GM were very accommodating for our group of 8. Iced tea was solid. Drink selection was the only thing subpar.
Outdoor seating was available for smoking, which I didn't care for.
Oh yeah, get yourself some key lime pie, to go if necessary. Tis a wondrous midnight snack on the beach!

Awesome chili con carni. Good prices and pleasant staff. Crab cakes are worth a try as well. Have also had the burgers there and they are good and meaty. A good all rounder.

I am 32 and have been eating here since I was little. Excellent food and friendly staff. This place is a locals favorite. They had to open a second location about a half mile down the street because it would get that crowded. Try it, you wont be disappointed. Try the southwest style fish

I was sent here by a good south FL friend, who swore that this place had the best Key Lime Pie in the Keys. I can say that I've had truly fresh made Key Lime Pie, made with fresh squeezed actual little Key Limes, and this was nothing but a poor imitation. Secondly, it was nearly frozen, and had none of the creaminess that I would expect. It was hard, and lacked any of that citrus bite.

On top of that, the calamari (I know, it's not a seafood place), was seasoned oddly and just didn't taste right. Absolutely pass on that. I enjoyed the chili, and the service was definitely with a smile, which is always a plus.

Also, dont park under the coconut tree in the parking lot. They've got a sign up, so fair warning. hehe

Maybe next time we'll try something else (it was just a stop for a quick bite), but the Key Lime Pie won't be on our must try list.

Very nice and typical seafood Restaurant at the florida keys. We enjoyed the really good food and the great service. Because the diner was quite full we had to wait a little bit to get into the diner. We especially liked the key lime pie for dessert. If we ever come back to Florida, we will definitely visit this nice diner again.

First time there. Good food. Good service! Waitress asked if I wanted a coffee to go. Love it! And I asked if I could take the water. She came back with a to go cup with more ice! Love it! Good coffee too. I'm addicted to coffee.

We went to the original Mrs. Mac's and had a great dinner. The staff was extremely friendly, opening the door for us when we arrived and left. Our waitress was outstanding, making recommendations and checking in frequently. The food was top notch. I had the southwestern style snapper which was very fresh and had a nice kick. And you absolutely have to get the key lime pie. Key lime is one of my favorite desserts and this was one of the best I've ever had. The graham cracker crust was outstanding. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and fun - the walls are decorated with license plates from all over the world. Overall a wonderful dining experience

Mrs Mac was our last visit while in Key Largo. Very nice atmosphere I may say. Food was tasty and fresh to say the least. But overall best customer service we received while being there. Barbara was attentive and precise from begging to end. Very friendly, courteous and informative. We were a big party and she managed to cater to us and all her other patrons despite the fact it was very busy. Will definitely be back.

The food portion was huge and the fish was so fresh. I did not like the coconut shrimp but it is just my taste. It was fried really well but I felt like the coconut shrimp was too sweet. We took a piece of key lime pie to the hotel to have it and it was really creamy and tasty. The crust was good, pie was good and whipped cream was soft.

This review is for Mrs. Mac's Kitchen 2 located next to the number one location. This location has a country style feel with the obvious beach themes. The seating is plentiful and it can easily accommodate medium to large parties. The help is courteous and friendly and they try to be accommodating to special needs. The bar is located at the center of the dining area and it is decorated with a beautiful beach themed counter top. The food is good but they do have a tendency of bringing it a bit cold from the kitchen. I had the a conch chowder soup as a starter. It was red, reminiscent to the Manhattan clam chowder. This dish was good but a bit too peppery. For my main meal I had the Red Snapper lunch with French fries and cold slaw as additional sides. The fish was deboned and butterflied down the middle and was served with some lettuce, chopped tomatoes, two lime wedges and tartar sauce. I have to admit that although the flavour was great the fish was a bit cold, chewy and dry. I would go back to give it another try and see if anything was different.

Showed up just as breakfast was ending, but we wanted lunch anyway. We were told there was a 20 min hold on seating for lunch - didn't seem unreasonable and the menu looked good. But after waiting for 30 min (in the rain) the hostess tried to sit us down and the cook told her no because he wasn't ready. So she shuffled us back out into the rain even though half the tables inside were empty.
I'd had enough waiting so we walked two doors down and found a great lunch place that sat and served us right away.
Don't stop here at 11 am!
