We were told about this place by some over 150 miles away! It was well worth the visit, the food and service we're amazing, the only thing we didn't care for was the coffee was really strong! Will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Great place to go for a quick bite or a full breakfast or lunch. I love the hot gouda turkey sandwich and soup combo. Their soups are made in house and are really good. The servers are very attentive.

I’m sitting in the Mt Bakery as I type this, and I have to say that I’m pretty unimpressed with what is happening around me.
One of our four breakfasts arrived a full 15 minutes before the others. It was either eat it before everyone else, or eat cold eggs when the rest arrived. I ate early.
Another of our four meals was their hot Turkey Gouda sandwich. But the melted cheese was hard and unmelted, they forgot to put all the ingredients on the sandwich, and it arrived as dry as a dusty fart. Exaggeration? No. We had to ask them to fix their mistake. They did so, without so much as “we’re sorry for our mistake and inconvenience”. Sigh..
When they saw that I was going to use my Mt Bakery gift card, things got even more fun. They told the table that their computer system had been upgraded, and wouldn’t accept the green gift cards anymore. But apparently they’re going to work that out for us I’m perplexed.
And JUST a few moments ago (this is no joke), a waitress blew her nose and then went directly out to wait a table.
A very disappointing experience with equally disappointing food. This place is off my list.
Contrary to other reviews, this restaurant certainly does not represent good dining in Bellingham. They are very proud of their food and service here. They shouldn’t be.response / report this review -

Best sausage link in town. Delectable daily specials. I can't imagine Bellingham without Mt. Bakery. Everything is satisfyingly on point.

When my mom comes into town to visit, and if it's early enough, we'll come here for breakfast. Their food is amazing and, in my opinion, the place itself is the epitome of Bellingham dining. Nice staff. But beware, this place gets busy quick on weekend mornings.

Amazing pastries! The eggs Benedict are a calorie bomb, but well worth it. Weekends are fairly crowded for them, so either go early or be prepared to wait.

Had a great egg sandwich for b-fast. Nice staff. Yummy baked goods. (Your best option for such during the week when the farmers market is closed.)

The staff is doing the best they can with a bad situation. They're kind, prompt, and are paying good attention. The food was only okay though, maybe I was just expecting more because if all the rave reviews, but I just wasn't impressed. I love eggs Benedict and these eggs were done just right but the hollandaise sauce was bland at the best. It just didn't have any flavor, tasted like there was no citrus in it at all.
The location is a bit lacking too. Not just how there is no parking, but it's so loud inside that you can't really carry on a conversation. It was hard to hear the staff even. My wife needed to wear earplugs just to be comfortable. On top of that there is no waiting area - and the wait is long. We were told 10 minutes when we showed up, turned out to be more like 45.
All in all, I don't think I'll bother going back.response / report this review -

Always the best eggs Benedict. I prefer to hand blend my mimosa's but that's only due to the fact that I like them boozy!

Best eggs Benedict I have had, ever. They were swamped but still managed speedy and attentive service. Highly recommend! Just wish I went here sooner.

Came here on a rainy Monday morning and received prompt, friendly service. Ordered the portobello benny. It was fantastic! Tangy, sweet holandaise, eggs just the right consistency. There was just enough cheese to hold it together, and the mushroom gave a hint of roast beef dinner to the whole affair. To top it off, it's served on a waffle! The waffle was almost the consistency of a very crispy doughnut. An excellent choice when looking for somewhere to eat breakfast.

Wonderful breakfast!! Definitely a popular weekend spot, so if it's Saturday or Sunday be prepared to wait, trust me it's worth it. Super freaking delicious and the staff is great. Wonderful gluten free options, I've never had an issue with cross contamination. Also. Best hot chocolate ever. (They even put rainbow sprinkles on it. Amazing.)
