Put a application in about a year or so ago, never heard from them, then found out that most of the workers are family , no WONDER!!!

Been coming here for 8-9 years, and never had a problem paying over 50 cents in pennies until tonight. Sophia irritatedly pushed my little pile of coins back at me and told me to roll them before bringing them in. Rolls of pennies go by the 100's. I had 71. Some of the other employees are very good, but this bitch was "the straw that broke the camel's back" tonight.

Guess I can thank her for giving me a break in depression to feel anger. Going to redeem all of my rewards card points and start going to the several other better places in the area. This isn't the first time I've been very irritated by an employee at this one store. The MHC downtown (in the ghetto) has more friendly and competent employees than this place, but it's too far to drive to unless I happen to be in the area, which is quite rare.

Ended up going to a place which I had frequented for less than a year, and the guy behind the counter told me it's alright to pay with pennies, and he didn't bother to count them because we're cool. I gave him an extra 15 cents (the last of what I had) because he's always been friendly and helped out without any problem tonight.

Speaking as someone who works for a (different) chain of gas stationsit's not a gas rip off if you didn't watch the pump. You're supposed to stay outside of your vehicle when fueling (and that sign IS on the pump). You had a mechanical failure. Mechanical failures happen. Then you yelled at a cashier who's working Christmas Eve who just tried to diffuse the situation any way possible even though your stupidity was at fault. She's also probably not allowed to put a sign on the pump without talking to her manager who she's not going to call on Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve I went to this Mother Hubbard to put fuel in my car. The pump was very slow and did not shut off when my tank was full. It overflowed several gallons before I realized this. The gas was flying out of the pump, got all over the side of my car and all over the ground. The pump also did not shut off immediately when I tried to stop it. The woman behind the counter said that this sometimes happens (sounding like a very common occurrence) and she cannot issue a refund. She also would not put a warning on the pump. Her attitude was flippant, unsupportive and lacked any customer concern. I do not live in Davenport and do not expect I will receive any compensation. I wonder how many other people get taken advantage of here. I wish I could give them negative stars on this review.
