So, this place is completely run down. We are doing a cross country trip and stopped here because we hadn't slept in two days.

There was a slew of issues. First, they gave us a room in the smoking section, even though we asked for a non-smoking room, they moved us because the fire alarm kept beepingv due to low battery.

Then the new room in the non-smoking section had more issues. Floor panels were disintegrating, shower floor was cracked, cigarette burns all over the bedding. We would have gone elsewhere if it were not for being deliriously tired.

It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I asked for 4 blankets to make a pallet on the ground because our room only had one bed. We received one blanket. The floors were very dirty. My daughter had on white socks and they were black from walking on the floors in the room. The room had a horrible smell, a combination of cigarettes and garbage. I asked for a different room but was told that room was their non smoking room. The smoke alarm battery holder was hanging out with no battery in it. I took a picture of this. The bathroom door would barely open or close without a lot of force and got stuck when trying to reopen. I initially paid for two rooms but after being there for the day told the front office I would only need it for one day and asked for a refund. I was told the money would not show up on my card for 3-5 business days. I paid at the hotel. It was a complete nightmare. I felt disgusting being in the room and even the bed stunk. I will never visit this hotel again and hope no one I know ever does. I was in room 209.

Checked out room before renting. We stay at Motel 6 on a regular basis. This one at low end of quality. For another $25, was worth going across the street for something much cleaner and bed didn't look or feel like it was rented by the hour.

Uncomfortable bed which looked like it had seen better days. We booked a non-smoking room which smelled like cigarette smoke. If it hadn't been so late at night and pouring buckets outside, I would have gone back to the office to ask for another room.

The front desk workers were very nice! But the room was not as clean as I would have liked. They do take pets, but even with that, it should have been cleaner. It needs a good once a month cleaning under beds, light switches, over doors, etc. I know that the everyday maids don't have time to detail, but after years of uses.. The water in the sink and shower would go from hot to old to warm every time we used them. Door bolt and screws were loose. The door was loose and had no security bar. The faucet was loose in the shower.

Although it wasn't the most updated place we have ever stayedthe stay was nice. We stayed 2 nights there for the Alabama/ Tennessee game. The front desk receptionists were great. Anything we needed they were more than happy to assists us. I do wish the showers were bigger and had micros and a refrigerator in the rooms. All in all I would stay here again

I would stay here again but I would bring a few things from home when staying on busy game weekends. Pillows, we had to ask for them as they were not originally provided. Towels, wash cloths, a roll of paper towels and a small cooler for ice. I have gotten used to Motel rooms smelling smoky and brought spray which totally saved the trip. I made a pillow out of stadium cushions and sweat pants, it worked. Only one ice machine that is closely guarded apparently The staff was very nice and friendly and other than a smoky smell the room was clean.

When I checked in the desk was very unfriendly as they said they had no rooms on the front downstairs and I had requested 36 hours earlier a room downstairs be hell for me instead I was put on the back but the receptionist was very hateful gave me room 123 I went into the room one time the next time I tried to go in I had to go get three different cards which which none worked so I had to be moved to room 124 the floor was dirty filthy I use my bath towel and wet it and clean the floor usually I have no problem at Motel 6 but this hotel is outdated is stay up is hateful and unorganized I request a full refund because of the treatment I have received and the condition of my room if I do not receive a full refund which is your decision
I will call the Better Business Bureau and have my wife go online and social media and explain to all her friends and to all their friends how we were treated and how the room was when we arrived.
Have a great day and I hope you will do the right thing the decision is all yours .

The hotel charged us more then my original booking. I was informed that although at the time I booked the rate was the same for single/double, they had a new system and had to charge an additional fee for the second person in the room.

The guest room was incredibly dirty. The bedspread had holes in it and looked like it may not have been cleaned in 5 years. The sheets were dirty and there was hair in the bed. The curtains were dirty and had holes in them. The chair had cobwebs all over it. The shower floor had dirt, a dead bug and hair on it. The shower curtain had holes and was dirty. I wiped up water on the floor in the bathroom after I took a shower and the towel was black from dirt on the floor. Our air conditioner was loud and only worked in off or high. I understand Motel 6 is a economical hotel chain, but customer service at the front desk was horrible, I'm upset we were charged a higher rate then when we booked and the room was not clean.

Since my group were fleeing Florida, any port in the storm would work. I hope that this doesn't sound negative. If so, here are some positives: Staff was courteous and helpful. We were safe and secure. During check-in, the front desk made it possible for my mom to get a ground floor room since she is in a walker. Nice beds.Great A/C and TV. Great value! Thank you for helping us!

Smoke detector was disconnected and laying next to TV. Had same thing at another Motel 6 location on same trip. Not a confidence inspiring sight to a good night's sleep. Room was fine otherwise. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

I requested the non-smoking room for two days stay in Motel 6 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When I enter the room, I felt terrible smoking smell in the room, and my wife and daughter couldn’t tolerate the smell, and both were started to cough. I requested another non-smoking room, but the situation did not change, it was same like previous room. Besides, I saw a person standing and smoking in front of our room. The room was also very tiny, and there was no refrigerator, microwave, and telephone. There was a big headed an old model T.V. was on the table.
Price wise the room is O.K., and the staff at the front desk are friendly. However, they cannot control the customers if they don’t follow the motel rules, whereas people still smoke in the non-smoking room. If you have children, you may avoid staying in this place. However, there is no choice during an emergency, whatever is available, you may choose this place between convenience and urgency.
Finally, we did not stay in this motel, and I did not ask a refund, the front desk person voluntarily told me to give a refund. She refunded the amount with a friendly manner, and I moved to Ramada Inn. One thing I appreciated the friendliness and cooperation of front desk staff and the other person in-charge.

Please Understand that my stay was during Tropical Storm Cindy. Lots of rain. But the facility really needs some maintenance help and updating. But even though the facility could use some appearance updates the room was clean and did not have any bad smells (previous smokers). The bedding was comfortable and the linen was clean. The shower in my opinion was odd because it had no shower door or curtain, got the floor very wet taking a shower, sorry. But the shower was clean and spacious. The Hotel itself was very easy to get to from the interstate, and very easy to get back onto the interstate. But due to the in climate weather I did not venture out to partake of the local area eateries.

Having previously stayed at this Motel 6 in 2009 and 2011, I was simply amazed at the Goodwill and customer service attitude of all of the employees, most especially Martha at the front desk. Hats off to you Martha that is fantastic client service attitude you all have. The rooms were clean the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Back in the day this was a rough Hotel I can tell you from experience but If you have not stayed at this hotel in a while I highly recommend for the cost you can't beat the experience now. And after I made mention that several trash cans in the hallway were full within a few minutes that was corrected. Everything in the rooms was up-to-date and work as expected. This is a good of an experience you could hope to have for 40 bucks a night

If I give this location a lower score, I would give it a minis 5 stars. The room was dirty, almost filthy. The television had 3 out of 5 control buttons were missing. The remote control didn't work. The phone didn't have a cord. Which, by the way, is against federal law. Public 911 calling is required in every motel in the country. Room was too small for 2 beds. Probably the most despicable motel 6 I've ever had the displeasure of staying at.
