If I could give it negative stars I would! The room was terrible at best. As soon as we walked in we found a pair of dirty men's underwear in the bathroom. The bedding had cigarette stains. The mattress was a horrible square of springs which only served the purpose of keeping your guests off the floor. When people used the water, the pipes made a loud whaling noise. Anyone moving around upstairs was heard. The 'vanity' outlet was taken up by the refrigerator and the microwave. Thank God it was only one night we had to endure.

I LOVED the nice big, wide bathtub, after 9 hours of driving it sure helps relax.
BUT, the floor was absolutely filthy. I always take my street shoes off at the door so as to keep the floor clean.after 5 MINUTES of walking barefoot around in the room, my clean feet were now very dirty.
The bathmat folded on the edge of the tub, when I unfolded it, it was dirty, actually had dirty footprints on one side and streaks of dirt on the other side.
I have photos if you are interested.
In the morning when I mentioned it to the desk person, \she was very unrespondsive, so I doubt that anything will be done. Feel free to call me if you wish.-

I understood when booking that a Motel 6 would not be anything to write home about, but you would think that for an 11 night stay that housekeeping would at least stop by ONCE to restock my toilet paper and bring me fresh towels. The note in the room said they would come daily to make my bed and every third day change sheets, but a week in they hadn't come at all. I called the front desk 4 times over the course of three days to ask for toilet paper and they never brought any. I finally went to the front desk myself to get some as well as fresh towels. The sheets I had had hairs on them and were pretty gross, but I was afraid I would get something worse if I changed the sheets. I was afraid to walk on the nasty floor in my bare feet at night so I used Clorox wipes to clean areas of the floor where I might need to step. There were hairs all over the bathroom floor especially. Thankfully the fridge and microwave worked, but one of the lights in the bathroom only flickered on occasionally. The room was non-smoking and smelled ok until I turned on the bathroom fan, which sucked smoky air through the vent. I only saw one roach during my stay, which I mean, I shouldn't have seen any, but only one was surprisingly good for everything else that was gross about this place. Also, there were supposed to be a washer/dryer I could use on site, but that room was being gutted and fixed, so there was nowhere to wash my clothes. I cleaned the bathtub and washed everything by hand instead. What a pain. Thankfully the AC worked fine.
Then, on my last day, I was to check out at noon, as the sign on my door said checkout was at noon, and the front desk called me at 11 to tell me checkout time was at 11, not 12. Seriously guys?! The nerve. I don't ever plan on coming back, and would not recommend this dump to anyone. I have stayed at a Motel 6 before, and the way this place is run is a disgrace to Motel 6.

Front desk clerk was very friendly. Location was wonderful. However, the beds were horrible. We slept on what seemed like nothing but springs. I would say we had a pleasant stay with the exception of the beds. They definitely need to be upgraded. Housekeeping didn't come in and "tidy up during our stay.

I reserved a room with a king bed. I was given a room with 2 double beds. 1 bed should be in the garbage and the other one I slept on wasn't much better. You feel like you're sleeping on bare springs. There were cigarette ashes on the tub and someones hair in the tub. I would not recommend this motel.

Would rate lower if I could. We came here during Hurricane Nate..The place was awful. During check-in their machine kept declining my husbands c.c. so we had to go get cash. The room stank.. The bathroom had no tub stopper and the tub was disgusting. The people in the other rooms were loud and my husband got little to no sleep. I have decided that we will no longer be patronizing this chain..every location we have been to has been similar..spend the extra few dollars and go elsewhere.

Bed was hard. Only two big towels in room. The people upstairs had kids running and jumping all night. We requested a quiet area because my son was having medical testing done. Then we had the housekeeper nock once and open the door. We thought check out was 12 ( because thats what it said online) but then find out it was 11. Other than that front office staff was nice room was clean.

We had a one wk reservation and left after the first night. The room was bleak. The furniture was cheap & the veneer was peeling off. There was a cigarette burn on the edge of the tub. There was no clock in the room. The bed was like sleeping on a board. The pillows were all polyester & flat. No small in-room coffee pot. It was billed as "newly opened" Perhaps after it had been condemned. We will never stay in a Motel 6 again. All this while were evacuating for hurricane Irma

As long as you understand what an economy motel is, you will be pleased with this place. It's not fancy, but it was clean and everything worked, which is all that matters to us in a motel stay. The staff was friendly and even got us checked in an hour early. We were evacuating for five days with our two small dogs due to a hurricane. We stayed in a queen room with a kitchenette. We had a sitting chair, a dinette with two chairs, two flat top burners, a microwave, sink, and a small refrigerator/freezer (not mini though). There was plenty of room for the dogs to spread out and play, and it had a flat screen TV, recently redone shower, and a new hard floor. It had plenty of drawers, cupboards, and hanging space for us to unpack and get comfortable for five days. There was also a large yard area for the dogs, and they provide a waste receptacle with bags.

They were under renovation during our stay, so some improvements still need to be made, which is part of the reason I did not give five stars. New linens are needed - our sheets had a burn hole, some faint stains, and overall were just old and worn out. The blanket was also old/worn and had signs of what looked like slight melting, perhaps from being in a dryer that was too hot? The decorative cover blanket was fine and seemed much newer. Some of the cupboard and drawer hardware was shaky, the corner of the kitchenette counter was peeling up a bit, and the dinette set was a bit wobbly, but none of these things negatively affected our stay - they are just things that can continue to be improved as they renovate.

The other reason I gave four stars instead of five is that, even though we had a Do Not Disturb sign on our door during our entire stay, on the fourth morning they knocked anyway, which got our dogs barking and probably disrupted other guests. The room key also kept deactivating, so we had to make several trips to the office to have it reactivated. We were told they have a safety feature that deactivates them after a set amount of time, and ours had not been set correctly, apparently. A minor inconvenience, again, just areas that can be improved, not major issues.

I am (paid now through end July) still very happy with my stay here at the Motel 6 in Dothan as I look for buying a home closer to the coast. I found nothing that I'd complain about. The office personnel are always available, friendly and helpful. The cleaning service comes through every morning checking on my needs. My room is exceptionally nice, recently updated and I am very comfortable sleeping here. Extra special, although have not been as much as I'd like, the pool is very inviting, clean, and most times only a few people at a time using it. Thank you friends at Motel 6!

I am forced to select 1 star otherwise I would select 0 stars the room was dirty, the staff was less than cordial and definitely not helpful. Even after voice our displeasure and cimplaints we were given no choice of a refund until we spoke with the manager in the morning which is when he was supposed come in, thus strapping us into staying in a filthy room. I now understand why all other places are booked except this one. No body would want to stay here and I would not recommend that anyone else stay either. Asking front desk staff in the morning to ensure the room was clean obviously fell on deaf ears cause nothing was done - well the cleaning staff claim that throwing towels onto the counter suffices as cleaning the room.
    DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE!!!

It's a great hotel that not many consider. Polite owner and staff. They have put a lot of money into remodeling rooms. Was very happy with my second stay there. The hardwood floors were very nice.

The rooms smelled terrible even though they were nonsmoking rooms. The furniture was in really awful condition. We booked 2 rooms & they were both in horrid condition. The mattress box springs were visible & they were disgusting & scary to look at. I asked the clerk at check-in if the pool was open and he said yes. We took the kids to the pool but could not get in because it was green and cloudy like a swamp. The kids were very disappointed. We did not feel these rooms were sanitary and we did not feel safe with the people in and around the hotel and parking lot. One room had a clogged sink and one room had a leaking shower that made constant noise. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I didn't expect fancy because it was inexpensive, but I did expect cleanliness & to feel safe. I expected a pool that was safe to swim in. We would have paid more money to stay in a better place for our familythis place was just terrible!

The room was OK but the carpet was covered in glass shards and pieces of paper. It was obvious the room had not been vacuumed. The desk clerk said that new wood floors were being installed very soon. That is fine but what is there has to be cared for in the waiting period. We were on vacation and this was the worse place we stayed, mostly because of the carpet.

Good price, friendly staff but the rooms are filthy and have a terrible odor. Everything from the ceiling, to the the walls, to the floors, bathroom, just everything needs to be completely redone and KEPT CLEAN. Also something in the kitchen was leaking and not all the lights worked.
