The location isn't bad but it's about what you'd expect from a 2 star hotel. It took a half hour for us to get checked in, the hotel smelled of smoke, the pool was out of order, and the bed had two half pillows on it. That being said, it worked for a over night stay.

The entire hotel smelled bad. I requested a non smoking room and yet the entire hotel including my room smelled like stale smoke. Additionally, when I left my room my door did not automatically lock when I pulled it closed. I had to try several times and eventually had to slam it to get it to lock. With that said overall it was clean and you get what you pay for - I picked the cheapest hotel in the area because I just needed a bed for the night.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at Motel 6. We booked it last minute so we would be close to the start line for the Olathe Marathon. The other places were over $150 for the night, so we took a chance with Motel 6 that was less than $80. The room was clean, staff was nice. I could tell the room and bathroom had been remodeled. I liked the wood floor in our room--carpet in hotel rooms always grosses me out-not knowing what type of nasty is hiding in them. This room was bare bones-think a bar of soap but no shampoo bare-but it was clean and we slept well.

The room was very clean. Front desk attendant was nice. Pets are welcome to smoking rooms only. Hardwood floors. Just coffee in the morning. The price was $55. and you have to have a $20. Cash deposit inwhich you get back when you check out.

I keep reading the reviews on here. Listen this place is alright. Its not a 5 start hotel but it is so quiet and relaxing. If you're just looking for a comfortable place to sleep for a good price this is it. Our room was 209. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was awesome. Always there to greet us, they have coffee in the morning. Ate where here for a non social event we were already stressed out and had so much on our minds having a quiet hotel that was clean and nice staff was such a relief! Again, not perfect! But if your not fancy and looking for something simple where you can smoke in your room be left alone and nobody to bother you. Come here. Plus its off the highway and close to a lot of stores.. We are from Massachusetts and have to come back here a couple times in the next few months and will be staying here.

I was happy with the stay but a lot of things didn't work in the room Burnt out lights Screen ripped out. Fart fan no working TV remote had to be 5 foot from the screen to work Of course I probably had one of the worst rooms because I have a dog If you're traveling South and are avoiding the toll road I suggest staying in Park City Kansas at the motel 6 Much much nicer

The only reason I am giving one star is so I can write a review. I had a very unsettling experience with the night receptionist. With my late flight, I checked in at 11 pm. He followed me into the elevator, cornered me once the door closed, and tried to hug me. Terrifying, unprofessional, creepy, and inappropriate! I am a young female traveling alone. Also, I agree with above comments, smells like cigarettes and curry. Needless to say I demanded refund and left ASAP.

I needed a room for the evening because of some work being done at my house. I went here paid the full amount asked of me and an additional $10 in case I had a visitor. I went to room looked around ( I WAS NOT impressed but it was one night) and then left and was gone maybe 2 hours or little more going about my day because I'm A local I live around here. Found out worker's cancelled due to illness so I immediately went to hotel to explain my situation and see if I could get a refund even if it was just the $10 guest fee because no one ever visited or if they could just give me a room the day the worker's do finally come. She was so rude and I understand if I'd of actually been in the room but remember I literally was in there 2 minutes maybe and left to return after my days work was done. Then I got the unfortunate call things were changing. It's just been unfortunate I understand people get sick things happen but I honestly felt like I was the joke of the day. I got that suckers money! What happen to kindness understanding and customer service. It really made me feel disrespected. Not to mention $70 in the hole for a room that was advertised $50 and showed picture's that would make you think it's clean and safe. I was less then impressed. I really would of been frustrated if I was coming in from out of town and brought my family here.

Location was good. Room was OK. Clean and basic. Some of the updates weren't finished yet but no biggie. All I care about is that the room is clean. The lever on the faucet to turn on the shower was broken and tricky to get it to stay in place, but otherwise the shower was fine. The sink was brand new. The bed/pillows were comfy. Love that my dog always stays with me for free at Motel 6! Liked that the room entries are on the inside rather than the outside like most motels. Didn't like being on the third floor so much, stairwell was gross with old stained carpet and smelled like cigarettes and the elevator was old.

The Motel 6 is nice to stay at. It is a good place to sleep, take a shower, and with bathroom access. It could use an update. I have stayed here multiple times and a few rooms had a few issues that needed fixed like a loose towel bar or missing AC switch but nothing too terrible. The place is clean. I wish they had a mini fridge in their rooms. There is no microwave in the rooms but there is one in the lobby that everyone has access to. Over all my multiple stays here have been nice.

I've never been there before and I was there for my granddaughters ballgame the girl at the desk wasn't that enthused about helping anyone the room was nasty I had to use a towel to clean the floor no pictures on the wall spotted paint all over it it looks like they use drapes for a blanket that wouldn't even cover you up when you're sleeping too little bitty pillows on it and it was an ordeal to get another pillow whoever was above us bounced all night I couldn't sleep because I was worried about my car in their parking lot they have signs all over saying management is not liable for any vandalism or damage done to your vehicle you are park at your own risk never have I seen that at a hotel $78 the biggest waste of money in embarrassment to even take my granddaughter there I have pictures it was awful no coffee pot in the rooms no microwave no nothing. The TV was crowned in a corner you couldn't even see it from both beds black spots all over the doorway going into the bathroom the hallway smell like dogs peed all over it and I have animals like I said I have pictures I would love a refund from that place

I booked a non-smoking room and indicated that I had a pet. When I checked in, the clerk advised that I could only have a smoking room if I had a pet. He called his manager to make an exception, however the room we stayed in had its issues. The central AC in room 100 was very noisy, like the sound of a Diesel engine and didnt do much to cool the room. Did not get much sleep. The property is not well maintained. There also was not an electric outlet cover in the bathroom.

Needless to say I will not stay at a motel 6 again. You get what you pay for and in the future I am willing to spend the $$ so I can stay at a hotel that is comfortable, well kept, and quiet.

I would like to say first there are no visitors. My girlfriend and her mom and boyfriend wanted a place to stay for two days. We had a 2 bedroom with no microwave, fridge, coffee pot, and iron.
We then went to check out the inside and outside pool. The outside pool did not exist and the inside pool had black nasty debris. We then went out to grab a bite to eat. Came back to the hotel and was then harassed that me and my girlfriend are visitors. We had an argument and then they called the police. The officer then said in part of the conversation that "we deserve are money back" and quickly and rudely the manager responded that it is out of you're jurisdiction. After a night of disappointment we found a new place to stay and they charged 2 nights on the card as well as the 2 nights we paid in cash after we left on the 2 night. I urgently ask nobody to go there. For your own happiness.

Paid over $80 for this stupid room because we were about 2/3 of the way on a long drive with 3 kids. The kids wanted to swim and get some energy out so we found this place because it said it had an indoor pool.

Pool sucks. Not really clean. Very small. Hot tub that I thought they had according to a photo, is cemented over.
We decided to go to a local playground instead since the pool was a disappointment.
I would recommend that playground to anyone staying here for young children though. Wonderful place. Geese. Two huge ponds. Someone had horses near by. Big playground equipment. Love it.

Now back to the scrappy hotel..
Prices fluctuate too much. Never paid so much for a motel 6 and we have stayed in that all over the country because they are pet friendly. When we have our dog we don't really have any other choices and we don't exactly enjoy shelling out a bunch of money just to sleep in a bed.

No microwave.

No fridge.

For the price they charged I would think it would at least be better than the $50 motel 6s we have been in before.

Room was clean. Area was nice. Only reason for 3 stars.
