I was a previous employee here for eight months. This place seemed great at the start of my position and it slowly went down from there. They prided themselves with caring for the mental health of their employees, but they truthfully didn't. This is a very cliquey workplace, there are lack of staff due to a high turn over rate, and lots of favoritism with certain clients and or employees. While this place has provided a short term sustainable work environment, I would not recommend it for someone who is looking for a career centered job, with growth opportunities. As far as clients, this place has offered some a therapeutic environment to get better, however, given the perspective I have as an employee and what I have seen, I would recommend looking into other places first and or asking all the questions when inquiring about MN and making sure to advocate for yourself or loved one. Honestly felt like I worked at a sorority house. P.s. - the therapists will lie to save their own butts.
The relationships I developed with my therapist, dietitian, and the RCs were great - it felt like they all took interest in me and took the time to really listen to me and check In with me outside of sessions. Monica is so caring and fun, and I felt that everyone I worked with here was extremely supportive and involved. I also really enjoyed working with Alaina and Umamah.
Monte Nido Chicago provided me a sense of safety which assisted my recovery. The programs and coaches were very helpful too. Thanks!
Monte Nido has changed my life in ways I never could occur. The team and culture fosters a beautiful environment which challenges and supports its clients in the best way possible. The curriculum provides a well-rounded recovery program and promotes long-term recovery rather than short term solutions. I felt seen and accepted while support and challenged during my participation in their program, and for that, I will be eternally grateful.
