John replaced our old range hood with a new one and did an excellent job The cost was reasonable. He arrived on time and did the job quickly for us. He left everything clean and tidy and explained other services Mr Sparky offers. He was very personable and professional. We will use Mr Sparky for all our electrical needs from now on. Great Job!
Everything was timely, and attention to detail. I really appreciated the frank information and taking the time to explain things to a non-electrician. The work, when completed was beautiful. Everything worked perfectly the first time. Michael Parker was everything I could have hoped for in a professional electrician - personable, capable, teacher, and thorough.
Today was my first time hiring this company for electrical work. I did a walk-through of all our electrical problems with Justin about 1 month ago. It was extensive. He was very professional, courteous, and helpful. Communication was easy and because of these qualities we decided to move forward with the planned work we needed done. Today, Joe completed the work. He was professional, personable, quick and very helpful with questions I had. I am VERY happy with the quality of work they provided from the walk-through to completion. I will use them again in the future and highly recommend them to others, specifically Justin and Joe.
My electrician Marcus was very professional, & courteous . Also on time which was a big plus , received a text & call of the ETA & his photo ID verification. Did a really good job , neat ,clean & careful respect of your property. His assistant Dave is a new apprentice & was also very helpful & courteous. They were well prepared for the job ,efficient & worked well together. Each time Marcus has provided a service for my home , it was always done in Excellence!! Used the power club to save $ on current & future services! Kudos!!
Needed electrical wiring install for stove and oven and panel upgraded. Very satisfied with the service is an understatement. Electrician was professional and thorough. I will definitely use them again. Price was reasonable which included a discount.
Rip off! They did not honor their on time guarantee. No call no show on the day they were supposed to be here. Then called the next day like everything was fine. I wanted two security lights installed outside. So they didn’t even call methe one who ordered the service, but instead talked to my wife and made it sound like this huge ordeal that was going to cost over $3,000. So instead of consulting methe one who ordered the service, just started the work. The materials were two plastic junction boxes, two switches and maybe 100 ft of wire. Less than $100 in material. It took two guys 1 day to install. They so greatfully took $500 off for not showing up the day they were supposed to. I could care less about getting another thing for free as their slogan states, but to over charge?! So it still cost about $2,700 tor two flood lights. So break down the labor and the original charge would have been about $200/hour for labor, but wound up being still over $150/hour for labor. That’s insane. Do your research and find a reasonable electrician. Labor should be closer to $50/hour. This company sucks. Sent a bad survey and they didn’t have the balls to call me back.
The technicians were prompt and knowledgeable. They were courteous and respectful. I would recommend both technicians I encountered on any job. Thanks Mister Sparky.
Horrible experience.Contrary to what was agreed on , technician came to the house wanted to "trouble shoot" the problem for $250 in addition to the $89 service call fees. He said after the $250 then he will be able to know how much it will cost for power restoration in the room in which power was lost. That is, he wanted $339 just to look. I declined Two hrs later another company came on a $39 service call which included testing . During the testing they found a broken wire inside the electrical panel . They fixed it for a grand total of $100 and the service call was free.
Mr. Sparky is a rip off watch out.
Garry came to my home and he was very nice. I needed some ceiling fans installed and Gary told me so many technical things about ceiling fans. It was like Ceiling Fan University. He was great. The attention to detail and safety was amazing. Garry took time to answer my questions and he answered the questions of my inquisitive 8-year-old son. For future electrical needs I will definitely call Mr Sparky and request Garry.
This company has the most professional and experienced electricians. I'd recommend them to everyone. I got help from one of their master electricians one day at Home Depot on how to properly install the wiring for my hot tub and his advice may have very well saved my life. I can't remember but I think his name was Matthew. Thanks again.
We just bought a new older home. A light fixture wasn't working in master bath, so called Mr. Sparky. They were able to send someone out same day, which was very convenient for me. They sent out Garry who was super nice and pointed out some major issues we may have in the future. He was able to repair the bath light and explain all issues we have. I really appreciated his knowledge and care. Probably not the cheapest electricians around, but probably the best.
Adam W. is another great electrician with Mister Sparky.
I'm always confident my Mr Sparky Representative knows what he's doing and stays till the job is complete. He works hard to trouble shoot the issue and corrects things to code. We wouldn't use anyone else. We've used them several times and were so pleased we purchased the Electric Repair Essentials Plan. Now we never worry about our electrical system, because we know it's to code. When it comes to electrics, we don't want cheap, we want good.

UPDATE: I'm editing this review because they came back and rectified the situation by honoring what they had quoted and getting the job done. They were friendly and efficient and everything seems to be working as expected. Just need some work on the upfront communications, but aside from that, I'd use again.
These guys are absolutely awful and do not keep their word. I was matched with them through HomeAdvisor. I received a call from Mr. Sparky immediately after putting my request in online for installation of a ceiling fan. The gentleman on the phone quoted me $89.95. I asked (several times over) to clarify that this was the installation cost and NOT a trip fee. When they got out here, the guy proceed to write up and estimate for $193! I told him about the conversation I had with THEIR employee (and encouraged them to pull the recorded phone records), and even after speaking with his general manager, they refused to rectify the situation. While I recognize this is probably an issue with training, that shouldn't be my problem or my responsibility (especially when I've personally had to take off work to accommodate their schedule. Definitely avoid these guys.
Justin King was very professional and just as nice as he could be. He was very organized and got everything done in a timely manner. He was neat with his work and respected my home. I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable price for the work that was done! Top notch!! Will use Mr. Sparky from now on.
Technician knew what he was doing and very professional and took the time to explain everything to me well. The time involved was good too. I would recommend this provider to whomever needed electrical work.
R I P O F F A R T I S T S .. The guy came in to give me an appraisal for adding a charging outlet for my electric car.. The estimate was $7,500 including $2600.00 for new smoke alarms. He lied to me and claimed that I needed a wired in smoke alarm in each bedroom. Battery powered alarms don't count he said.. He also said: Not my fault. That's the county. Funny, a 5 minute google search took me to Forsyth county's website and confirmed that the 2 existing detectors located OUTSIDE the sleep area are according to code. Battery powered units are fine too. Here's the actual requirement: Smoke detector systems. Each occupied dwelling unit shall be required to contain at least one (1)
approved operable smoke detector installed outside each sleeping area on, or near the ceiling. The detector shall be electrically or battery operated and provide an audible alarm. The term operable is
defined as being when a working battery is installed in the detector or the electricity is on. The occupant head of household is responsible for maintaining a lawful source of electricity.
Used them about a year ago. I still feel sick about it. I needed the wiring behind the smoke alarms checked and possibly cleaned up and a light switch moved over about 3 inches. They charged me around 700-800 dollars and all he did was take the wire connector off and put it on the new smoke alarms. I saw him do it and was in disbelief. It was an extremely expensive lesson that I learned. The worse part was that it was for about 30 minutes of work. Seriously, don't use them. I know I never will again.
I give 2 stars because while it was expensive, absurdly expensive, the work was done efficiently and the employee was polite. Politeness doesn't make up for price gouging however.
How can they even get 4 stars? I actually had lightening hit my house twice in a matter of a monthpanel was friedBut everything worked in the house without a problem but obviously we couldn't let this gowell first it was thatthan we went from there to a suggested rewire of the house, which the insurance company approvedwe are talking thousands and thousands and thousands of dollarsmakes all the rest of these quotes mere pennies. That was August 2014..Almost a year agoHave had to have them back more times than I can count actually for things not workingwhole sections of the house not working. How can an electrical system that worked fine when fried be such a mess after a team of expensive electricians get their hands on it. A few times they actually said they needed to charge me for the house callWTF? I said I wasn't paying for it. Then once told that there might be a charge if it didn't come under warranty. AgainWTF? I guess I am stuck calling them for life now because who knows if any of my future electrical problems will be anything less than them messing up this jobvery sad. :(
I called this company because the house lost the power in 2 rooms, when the guy from Mister Sparky arrived saw a breaker burned and wanted to upgrade the electrical system of the whole house; that was the only option. The budge is around $5,600.00, there was no other option; when I asked him over phone for other options (because I was working), he was rude, also he tried to manipulate my wife with photos of his children, talking about a possible fire. He cut the power of all house and left.
My wife had to go out in order to buy lunch for her and my daughter. When my wife was going out from the subdivision the Mister Sparky guy was outside with the vans waiting something (maybe an explosion in my house). For prevention I called another guy to check everything before put the power back.
The other technician (from different company) asked to Georgia Power to cut the power outside the house, then he was able to replace the panel and Done!. Problem gone!. Georgia Power put the power back and that's it.
COST: $600 vs $5,600 than Mister Sparky wanted to charge me. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!, look for another option.
