The environment was nice and relaxing I ordered spaghetti and I had to wait for it and I didn't mind waiting the staff is very friendly

Had the Chicken Parm. My Chicken cutlets were dry and very tough. Had difficulty cutting with a steak knife. The bread that came with it was really tough as well and barely warm. Could have gotten this meal elsewhere that would be better prepared and less expensive!!

For a small family loves y restaurant in the middle of know where it seemed. The food wasn't that bad. The staff working that night were sweet and nice. They all had there face mask on while working. Quick and friendly to pay and pickup my food. See I would go there again.

I have only been there one time and it was a dinner meeting. I ordered the pasta with shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce that was pretty good. The portion size was fine it was served nice and hot. The only thing is during the meeting they never came back into offer refills on drinks and the meeting lasted about three hours so the one glass didn't go very far. I suppose I could have gotten up and asked for a refill but I just don't feel like that should have happened but maybe the host chose that way to be served, so I won't put blame on Mimmo's restaurant for that. Everyone else in the meeting said that their food was great. Most had the lasagna. I was there from 6:10 p.m. till about 9 p.m. and it did not appear that the place was very busy, it was on a Tuesday night

The atmosphere, and service were fine, but the food was just okay. I had a meatball sub that was not bad, but the meatballs were pretty bland. My wife had a dish with chicken that was dredged in flower and fried crispy, but then it was drenched in a sauce, so it got soggy. The marinara was bland and watery. I would happily go back to try more of the menu to maybe find a hidden gem.

I was told to try this place out because it's the best italian food around. We were sadly mistaken. The house salad looks like a 4 year old put it together and tried to make it look "fancy" with 2 slices of tomatoes and cucumbers. The "italian dressing" was water downed vinegar/spices. "Meat lasagna" was nothing but fake cheese over two pieces of rubber noodles, tomato sauce and maybe 3 pieces of Chef Boy'ardee meat pieces. The chicken and broccoli alfredo was water down sauce with absolutely no flavor and again maybe 3 pieces of chicken. If you really want italian food, I'd suggest calling grandma or mom to make it for you.

Ordered a philly cheesesteak that was so flat and the meat tasted like the stuff u get from the store. Steak-ums. Smh never in my life. I want to give them another shot, idk.

My wife and I ate here for the first time last night (05/26/17). We were part of a bridal party, so we had a large crowd in an already busy restaurant. We all received our meals within about 15 minutes, which I thought was great for real Italian food in a busy place. We split a Stromboli. It was awesome. We both had a house salad and shared some garlic bread with others at the table. Everything was fantastic. Mimo even came out to check on us and to make sure everything was to our liking.
The next day the wedding was catered by Mimo's. They served ravioli, pizza and cold subs. We tried a little of each and again we were very pleased. We will be going here on a fairly regular basis now, as it is close to home for us. Highly recommend this place and if you like Italian food.response / report this review -

I worked at the original Mimmo's twenty years ago when I was 16. They are a great family providing really good food to the Goldsboro community.
