Absolutely AWFUL. The most unorganized school I’ve ever attended. They messed up my transcript atleast 5 times and I’ve called trying to make a change with absolutely no response. A terrible excuse of a school. Find teachers that can fully speak English, understand how to work the internet, and have actual interest in taking care of the students. Midlands is truly terrible. Don’t waste your time.

Terrible school. Don't waste your time or money. All they care about is money. The fees are outrageous and you HAVE to pay some of them out of pocket, regardless of what scholarships you have. They will not inform you on how anything works. Definitely do not take online classes, the tests are broken and will not let you take them. Then you will be blamed for not taking them. Professors will take absolutely no responsibility. If you complain about it, you will conveniently get kicked out of class for some BS reason. The majority of the staff are incompetent and clearly miserable with their jobs. They do not care about students. The staff here should go take some classes at a real college to learn to do their jobs.

Long story short - avoid at all costs.

Its a good college with good teachers that want to help you get into a four year college. It is a better way to get your degree than wasting your money on basic classes at a four year university and further more most of the professors have outside work experiences and will help you achieve your goal.

1. Wi-fi is weak ecspecially in class they need to work on that. I will be trying to keep up in class but its too slow.

2. I transferred to this college in January and could not get a straight answer for an entire semester on why some of my credits did not transfer when both colleges are nationally accredited. I talked to numerous advisors and staff in the student services building and got different answers. All of the staff should be on the same page and know how this works because they simply could not help me and I ended up being advised to take a class I did not need. NOT COOL!!!!!!
It wasn't until my 2nd SEMESTER THAT ONE OF THE ADVISORS ACTUALLY KNEW WHY. If someone would of took more time and knew how to do this job it could have prevented a lot of confusion on both sides.

3. I gave 3 stars because I like the campus (Airport Campus)

Midlands Tech made 3 different mistakes on my transcript and now have refused to correct it. I was given an F for a class I withdrew from, given a withdrawal for a class I never signed up for, and gave me credit for a class I never took. My GPA is now damaged and I am now opening a dispute with an office under the Department of Education. Carla Kaiser wasted 2 months "looking into it" only to tell me they kept no records; her search should have taken a few minutes. AVOID THIS SCHOOL! Take online classes/look into the Palmetto College through The University of South Carolina.

Worse experience I have ever had. For one the people that work there are dumber then a box of rocks. They do not return calls, they can never answer a question without sending u to someone else who is never there. They cut there hours so the students have to pay fines for late registrations. They programs are out of date. The people are rude and hateful. 45 minute wait to speak with financial aid thats ridiculous. All the money we pay really.

They want you to jump through hoops to attend the school, then if you call and ask the same question 5 times, you will get 5 completely different answers. The advisor that I spoke with, twice, was no help at all and I have a degree from another school and my experience with that school was completely different. After all these years, they still don't have it together!

Good experience if transfering to a four year university. Most instructors are quite knowledgeable, but it's dealing with administration where most people get derailed. Know what your four year university wants and get their approval for the classes you're interested in taking in writing.

This school is horrible! They are all about money an do not care about you. Most of the teachers here are smart but cannot teach! They tricked me. I wanted to do cardiac care. Im already a medical assistant so i didnt need to do the full year. I told her that! She said that i had to take pre reqs in order to get into the "boost program" hmm..so i had financial aid but my books i had to pay 980$!! For 4 books!!! Lol but any way after a month into my classes i find out that they have two seperate programs under one program! The academic side and the cont. ed side. I told her i just wanted to do the class for a couple of months n instead of her informing me about the seperation between the two she just enrolled me into the wrong side an when i found out it was my fault! An my healh class was supposed to be orientation to make sure that everybody was in the right programbut get this! My teacher (she was very rude btw) never went over that in class. That was just a cover up so they wouldnt be held responsible. This school is soooo unorganized and sooo unprofessional! Ive been to college before an i never had problems like this before! I hate this school an if u are going here make sure u get signitures from everybody n document! Email! Do not talk on the phone because they will flip everything on you in a second!

The Human Service Program is Amazing! I enrolled into this college pursuing a Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and accidently stumbled across the Human Service Program. When I approached Dr. Mary Rawls (Director), she enlightened me on the program and stood by me throughout my entire time in the college and even AFTERWARDS. This is the place that I found out not only who I was but also, I learned, where and what I wanted to be! I am now on my way to pursing a PH.D in Psychology all because I gave Midlands Technical College the opportunity to put me on the right track. 2013 Alumni

Seriously, how do they keep their accreditation?? Completely unorganized. The left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Don't assume when they transfer your call that you will get the correct department or the right person to help you.

I am currently enrolled in my second semester, for a college they surely don't want you to succeed. They make it incredibly hard for you to pass because of all the issues they throw at you. They will play and try to cheat you out of your money, I had problems with two of my teachers and the administration is designed to protect to teachers even at the cost of the students education. I WOULD NOT recommend going here. Please take what I have said into deep consideration
