Absolute horrible. Overpriced and terrible with animals! Stay away if you like your pet!

No animal doctor has a bigger heart than Dr Pearson. They care about all animals and are extremely generous with costs compared to other vets. Do not criticize prices when they are caring for your pet at a less price than any other vet. They actually GIVE AWAY so much and should be appreciated for that given they do need to be able to give your pet tge very best care. The office and exam rooms are all clean, occasional animals listed for adoption, plus they sell food treats toys medicine at all great prices for your convenience. Extremely nice staff and I'm sorry to mention but there's a comfort room when it's time for your pet to go to heaven to help make it a little more like home during such a tough time. Definitely worth stopping in and giving them a try I'll never leave them and I've been going for 20 years as of 2017

Was quoted one price prior to arrival, everything seemed ok and the veterinarian was good with my animal. When we went to pay our bill we found out they did extra things that costed us about double what we were originally quoted. Never once were we informed that what we were doing was not included in our quote. They 'dropped the price' for the inconvenience but we still ended up paying more than the original total. Very unprofessional and would not recommend this vet to anyone. Very shady.

I have never had a bad experience here. The doctors are caring, informative, and have taken the time to show me how to best care for my pets any time I go in with an issue. I live in Gainesville and I still drive out to Micanopy for our non-emergency visits.

Received a phone call while on vacation from kennel staff stating they would not administer heart worm medicine because they couldn't verify I'd ever had my dog on heart worm prevention. The exact same scenario had happened six months prior and documentation was given but apparently never noted in my pet's file. The punchline is that I'd spent several hundred dollars at Micanopy Animal Hospital on this same dog. He was a rescue from Alachua County Animal Services. He was old and blind. I had found him and placed an adoption application on him just-in-case his owner didn't get him. Sure enough, the dog was about to be put down when the shelter manager called me. He rattled off a list of health problems but I said I would adopt despite the dog's health problems. He asked me again, "Are you sure about this? It's going to be a lot of money." I agreed. On February 14, 2017 we celebrated six years of friendship and a healthy past. Not sure I understand why my last call from Jessie at Micanopy was a message that asked, "How I got my hands on the medicine?" Not sure these folks understand what customer service is or how to talk to pet parents without being condescending or judgemental. Very disappointed in what will be my last visit to Micanopy Animal Hospital.
