My 16 months old have been taken care of really well. Her teacher is sincerely attentive when my daughter couldnt sleep during a daytime she would hold her for a long time to calm her. I am very appreciative to our daycare teacher Ms.Blackwell.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a long time. We have LOVED our experience at The Merit School in Arlington. We have attended this school since May of 2020. There has been some turnover and adjusting to Covid that all daycare centers have experienced recently but throughout it all, there have been some amazing people caring for my children. The Director (Ms. Ebone) is so passionate about early childhood education, with the relatability as a mother, herself. And the teachers are all so warm and friendly. My children have really developed such great bonds. Nothing is more telling of a great center than seeing smiles on my children’s faces every time they enter the building.

Our daughter has been enrolled at The Merit School of Arlington since August 2020. She has been through the infant, toddler and now preschool classrooms. We have had absolutely wonderful experiences with the teachers in every classroom and have felt that our daughter is getting excellent care. She is excited to go to school every day and she has learned so much in her time there. It has been difficult for this daycare, as with many others, to manage the difficulties that COVID has brought, but overall they have done a good job of managing the situation. We are having another baby later this year and will be enrolling her in the infant room again!

Update - 02/25/22

Our son is still at the Merit School of Arlington and has been been in the infant program, the toddler program, and is now enrolled in Stepping Stones. We have had such a wonderful experience with the school. Our son has absolutely loved all of his teachers and has made some great friends. He truly enjoys going to school everyday and has learned so much. He can even say all of his colors in Spanish and even count in Spanish! The management team and teachers communicate well and have worked really hard to continue to have special events for the kids while minding COVID precautions.

We feel very fortunate to have found such a great school for our son and will be enrolling our baby boy in their infant program later this spring.

Prior review (2019)

Our son started in the infant program at the Merit School of Arlington this summer. He was only 12 weeks and I was nervous about him being so little, but I am happy to say that we have had a wonderful experience. The management and teachers are all incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone knows our son and seem to love him. He is also happy to see his teachers everyday. It is obvious that everyone is fully invested in his well-being, which is a welcome relief as a first time mom! Our son naps and eats so well at "school" and as an added bonus has been sleeping well at home too - probably from all the great stimulation he gets during the day. Communication with his teachers and management has also been excellent. I cannot say enough good things! We are happy that we are able to send our son to daycare at the Merit School of Arlington!

We couldn't be happier with The Merit School of Arlington! We are able to leave our son each morning knowing he is safe, happy and loved. It is truly a warm and nurturing environment, where our son has made huge cognitive and social gains. We are greeted with a friendly smile each and every drop off and pick up, whether it be from the director or the staff members. The communication has been fantastic and the sense of community & culture within the building is strong. The recent after school family nights have been so much fun, too! We’ve attended several functions where there has been a petting zoo and a bounce house, along with face painting, crafts, games, balloon animals, food/snacks and more! We are thankful that our son smiles the minute we enter the building. He is comfortable and cared for wonderfully by his classroom teachers! Our second son will begin this January in the Infant Room and we know he will blossom just like our first son!
