We were there for their annual free meal to celebrate Veteran’s Day (free meal for me, pay meal for wife). Our waitress and all the waitstaff were very attentive, and the food was really excellent.

Wonderfully crisp flounder and garlicky orzo for me, salmon and rigatoni in pesto for her and bread pudding for dessert.

Both entrees were absolutely what you’d expect from M & S, delicious, perfectly prepared and presented.

The bread pudding dessert probably isn’t what they’re noted for, and I’m afraid deservedly so. Taste was good, healthy slice, but it was all bread, soaked in an egg batter. Bread pudding when well-prepared has a layer of custard below the bread, which floats on top. Regrettably, no layer of custard, which makes it a different dessert entirely.

But all else was wonderful (Vets: remember when you’re comped to a meal, tip for the whole meal as if you were charged—that is, for a meal that would have cost $40, tip for the $40 value, not just the part you paid for. The waiter has to do the same amount of work). Very grateful to M&S for their kind recognition of our service.

11/05/2017 - To take advantage of McCormick & Schmicks thoughtful Veteran's Day offer we had lunch at the Anaheim location today. The experience was pure pleasure from the greeting when we arrived, the great lunch and courteous service.
We will definitely repeat.

Went to this location for the first time and orders the McCormick Burgrer that was served to me smashed and overcooked when I asked for medium well. Though the waitress was kind and removed it from my bill , I'm still bothered that an upscale place like McCormick would allow that to make it to a customers table while I have to watch other peoole served beautiful burgers. The food had to have been seen by a few employees who should have stopped it because it doesn't represent McCormick quality. I took a photo and am looking to post because it was highly disappointed with lack of quality control.

I highly recommend this Grille. It has delicious food with great service. I am impressed that they honor Veterans and Active Duty Military with a free meal on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

A very nice restaurant. Private booths available with curtains for the ultimate private, romantic occasion. Wood interiors make for a elegant experience. Food is very good here. Ordered fish tacos and coconut shrimp. Both excellent! Drinks are mixed to perfection, not too strong and not too weak. Just right this place is worth a visit.

Quite possibly the worst McCormick and Schmidt's in the country. The first time I was there I had a bad experience and a year later the same issue. Service was terrible and food was not even close to the quality of other locations I've been to. Go somewhere else.

I went with my boyfriend to try out the food because I was told the steak filet mignon was good here. I must say it was delicious but the service was a bit slow. The waiter she was really nice and friendly. But it took a long time and it was on a Tuesday so I thought it wouldn't take long like it was a Saturday. Overall good place nice decor and friendly service.

Waited in the bar for our reservation. Waitress in the bar area not too friendly. Waited for 20 minutes to get a drink order. Eventually the bartender noticed us sitting there with no drinks. The bartender was great, he was very busy but had time to take our drink orders. Please have more staff in the bar area. Service at the dinner table was better, very attentive and friendly. She recommended a nice bottle of wine which paired well with our meal. Dinner was delicious, filet and prime rib were well seasoned. No room for dessert. Would have better rating if service was great from the start.

This place is kind of hit or miss for me. Their food is normally pretty good, but the hostesses always seem like they think they're better than you. The wait staff is the hit or miss part: sometimes they're great and sometimes very much lacking.
We'll probably continue to go back just because it's a nicer fish place in the area and the Garden Walk is just right there, but it would be nice if they could get some consistency with their wait staff.
