Maxine's is a must if you are staying in the South Beach area for breakfast, lunch or late night food. There is normally a wait to be seated for breakfast but well worth it. Late night after every place is normally closed they are going strong with food and drinks and are located in a very easy to get to area.

Nice reasonably priced American style restaurant. Our server was awful and decided not to use the tablet for ordering and screwed up my wife's order, but management came to the rescue and took her meal off the bill, but the overall experience was lacking. Food was good but lacking in flavor. A safer option for anyone who is adverse to Hispanic influenced food or anything with bold flavors, but could be better.

Vacationed in Miami this past summer. This restaurant was next door to our hotel. Everything I had there tasted great. It is a bit pricey but overall its worth it. The location was convenient and it's a 24 hour establishment. Did I mention the happy hour that they had everyday?? I highly recommend this restaurant

I ate here twice while on vacation. The food is delicious! First time we sat outside around dinner time. It was pleasant. Second time was right before heading home. We sat inside. Ordered the same plate as the first time, Steak Pizzaiola. Waiter took forever to see what we wanted to drink. And took even longer to bring them out. Didn't check on us even once after bringing plates out. Food is great. I guess it depends on your server how you like the ambiance.

Fabian was phenomenal. He checked on us regularly without annoying us. He filled our glasses. He recommended amazing food. He was just all around your five star quality bartender and server. If I ever come back to miami, I'm visiting this place again because of how amazingly we were taken care of. The food is literally orgasmic and his service made the food 100 times better. Also, he's got some crazy mixing skills. If you want cocktails done right, come here and ask for Fabian.

Very cheap, good portioned food compared to other places on South Beach and there is something for everyone. During the day they are very nice and well accommodating. All the servers made sure we were comfortable and beyond courteous.During the night it's best to avoid it. Service is very, very, very slow during the night/early morning. Our server was beyond rude and forced us to pay (and leave a tip) before we even got our food. Only half our food came out and he just grumbled whenever we asked for the other portions of our food. He very rude to other customers eating as well.

It was me and my friend's second visit to Miami Beach, and we had to visit Maxine's Bistro & Bar back. They serve $5 mimosa, all day. Our bartender, Venus, made me my all-time favorite drink, the tropical sun breeze. Her costumer service is beyond outstanding - Perhaps the best bartender that have ever served me. I look forward to a possible next year vacation. I'd recommend you guys to either drink the mimosa, or the "tropical sun breeze." You will not regret it. Drinks range between $5 - $11.

Very nice waiting staff.. great laid back atmosphere and not terribly overpriced like most restaurants in the Miami beach area. Will be stopping back soon. :)

Great food, atmosphere and live music. Service can be hit or miss depending on your server and there's usually a wait for a table. The excellent service from server Louis had me change this review up two stars.

Do not go there after midnight! The service was the worst I have ever experienced in my lifethere was no one seating guests, or paying any attention to us, after waiting several minutes we finally asked the waiter for a table. All the tables were dirty & he barely cleaned it before he sat us. He immediately told us that the bar was closed & that he needed to close out our check 10 minutes after we ordered, at first I didn't think anything of it but then 10 minutes later, he sat & started taking care of 2 other tables right next to us..he even served them alcohol & didn't tell them anything about closing the check! I don't even drink at all, I was stone sober & felt offended by his disrespect. He also told us that the menu was very limited even though we looked at the menu on their website & there was nothing specifying the limited menu. I am aware that is not the waiters fault but the owner should update the website. I ordered the wedge salad, my husband ordered a turkey club sandwich.. 45 minutes later, the 2 other tables that sat 10 minutes after us got their food before us which I could see was almost exactly what we ordered but had a pizza too so I asked where our food was, he then comes back & says they don't have the salad I ordered, we asked for the sandwich atleast & then never came back to the table..finally after an entire hour waiting for one sandwich, we left. He didn't even get my soda order correct after he made me repeat myself twice. I have waited tables for over a decade & that was completely unacceptable, first time ever walking out of a restaurant in my life!

Very yummy! Fun, great atmosphere, ate outside and loved the people watching! Gorgeous place with great drinks and food! Had the veggie tacos- so good!! Lots of vegetarian options. My waiter, Walter, was awesome! Special thanks to Mike! This was the best meal I had all Miami Music Week!
