Great, flavorful, Cuban food destination at the entrance to the entrance to the Espanola Way restaurant row. Great food in a very hectic chaotic setting. Service was sporadically attentive, with the few waiters stretched between indoor and outdoor tables. We had to source our own water when I ran out at the table, and took so long to get desert menu that the rest of our party went to a bakery next door while I stand behind to pay. Great food, reasonably priced for South Beach, but drinks cost as much as a main course ($15-20). Expect spotty service on a busy night, and the final bill to run up to $50+/person.
Excellent food, and great service. The waiter was very kind, we wanted to try something authentic and asked for recommendations. We ordered as he suggested and had an amazing experience! I highly recommend it.
I wish I had the opportunity to rate 0 stars. This was probably one of the worst establishments I have ever eaten at. Tried to give it a shot despite the poor reviews, I mean everyone has their off days am I right?
Well unfortunately my review lines up with the other poor ones.
The host who was walking us to our seat sat us without giving us our menus (as she proceeded to walk away and flirt with a group of 5 men) once she was finished she decided to come back and give us our menus.
Our waitress (Mileidys D) was absolutely awful too. Yes, the reviews about piss poor service is correct.
She never checked up on us after our food came out. We had to flag her down and get her attention after about 20 minutes into our meal. She also found it to be more entertaining to watch the live performers than assist her guests.
To be honest, the reason why their service is so extremely poor is due to the 18% gratuity that automatically gets added onto your bill. Because no matter how poor their service or food is they will still get your money.
I do not recommend this place if you want to actually enjoy your meal and service.
Great food! Pork cubes and mojito was great but things to know This is tourist area so expect higher prices and 15% tip is already worked in to bill. Great for vacation splurge not every day thing. Love outside seating and Halloween costumes/decorations!
Food here was very good and generally heavily portioned. Alternatively the drinks were okay the mojitos came off too sweet for my taste. I got the Cuban and it was fantastic. It was so big I ended up having to pack it and have the other half for lunch the next day. For a franchise I was actually pretty satisfied by everything here!
First restaurant that we arrived on our first day in Miami. Victor fell in love with their rice. We fell in love with everything. Food, drinks, staff, decor and ambient. Excellent restaurant! We will miss it!
Very good vibe. Love the atmosfer. Very good drinks! A bit too expensive, takes away one star.
As a vegetarian I can say this place has limited selection. You are largely limited to side orders. I got the rice and beans and a salad. Salad was good not great. The rice and beans were amazing. Plantains were very good as well. Great drinks and atmosphere. It's a little pricey unless you compare it to Miami in general. My 4 carnivore companions all thought their food was fantastic.
Nice location and setting. Excellent decor. Good service. Based on those thee items I am giving 3 stars. But: my main complaint is about the food itself: it is OK but not great, mostly like a tourist-type food: sandwich de bistec with no flavor, and the specialty of the house: Havana 1957 Chicken almost flavorless except for the gravy that looked almost like taken from a can, not fresh ingredients at all. With all the great Cuban and Latin food available in Miami I would leave this spot only for tourists who do not want to explore anything outside Miami Beach or to have some drinks and appetizers with friends. Disappointing.
Have are there before, food is Good and service is good. Seating is very compact, so having a quiet intimate dinner is pretty much out as there will be total strangers sitting two feet from you. But other than that, a good place to eat.
Good food and service. They also have an extensive list of rums which are worth the taste. It can get expensive fast though.
I'm not enough of a Foodie to be able to tell you how authentic the Cuban food was, but it was delicious to me. We ate here twice while we were on vacation. The first time we sat inside and were quite impressed with the decor--there's a million things to look at and a million stories to go with it. The second time we ate here was outside and service was a little slower, but it's a good place to people watch.
Food was amazing! Service was amazing! We got there at dinner time so there was a bit of a wait it was a windy night and we were seated outside. However when a table became free indoors our waitress was willing to move us inside. The coconut flan was the most amazing thing I've ever tasted the texture was spot on. Great place!
Fantastic little JEWEL in a great area of Miami near the Lincoln Mall. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the normally OUTSTANDING HOUSE SPECIAL (Chicken) was a little dry. I've heard this from other people lately too, including some reviews. I'm wondering if they either shortened the time marinating it, or increase the heat or cooking time. Either way, it's more dry than it has been for years.
Most of the dishes and appetizers are excellent, as is the service, location, prices, etc. And don't forget to get FLAN, the classic Cuban Flan. GREAT PLACE!!!
