I don’t get it. Bought 3 different cookies. Each bite I was waiting for them to get good.they never did, bland at best. Skip this place and go somewhere else.
I was left waiting while the employee had the music so loud he didn't even hear me yelling. HELLO. even if the cookies were amazing it only get 3 🌟 after that. But I'd say the cookies while plentiful in choice or creations was just OK. now if they kept them warm and gooey that would be a different story and would be Insomnia Cookies. Now I want insomnia 🍪
I've been spoiled by warm gooey Otis Spunkmeyer chocolate chip cookies. I found the cookies here dry. They aren't bad cookies just not what I expected from a speciality cookie shop.
Absolutely amazing! I just stopped in bc the chocolate factory was closed. While originally craving ice cream, I ended up discovering some of the best cookies on earth! Very friendly customer service that makes me want to come back!
One word -- *amazing!* It's common knowledge that shops and stores in resort towns only survive if their goods are worth it. Rest assured that Mountain Top Cookie Shop knows what they're doing; their cookies speak for themselves. And most importantly, they have something for just about any cookie lover. Highly recommend them if you've got a sweet tooth while cruising Main Street.
MOUNTAIN TOP COOKIES
THE CHOCOLATE LOVERS CRATE
Every once in a while, it's nice to send little packages to the people you love just to let them know you're thinking about them. They have quite a few different companies companies online that send goodies over but I decided to go with a cookie company this time. Mountain Top Cookie Shop seemed to be an online favorite. On their website, you can visit their 3 locations in Colorado or order from them online. If you can't decide which flavors to order, check out their Best Seller's or Baker's Choice option to get some ideas.
I wanted to get a gift crate and found the Chocolate Lovers basket filled with Chocolate Chip, a Double Fudge White Chip, and a M&M cookie from our Quarter Pounders; a Snoopy (chocolate chip cookie dipped in milk chocolate) and an Ebony & Ivory (double fudge white chip dipped in white chocolate) from our Dipped Cookies; a Chocolate Avalanche (chocolate chip cookies w/chocolate frosting) and a Mary-O (double fudge white chip w/ vanilla frosting). Apart from their delicious cookies, they also include some smaller items like Malt Balls and chocolate covered pretzels.
After you have your items, creating a profile on their website is a quick process. I like to make a profile to check in with the progress of your order. Although you have an order number, it is difficult to meticulously follow through with the status of your order. If you call and ask one of their employees, they can let you know whether the item is still being prepared or shipped. I wouldn't bother spending the additional money on USPS Priority or USPS Priority 2 because your package will still be at the vendor a few days before they ship it. I would call and check before hand to see if they can get your package by the date you want it. On the shopping cart page they have a small link on the bottom where you can add a note to the seller if you wanted to include a letter to the seller.
This place was literally incredible. Tint building but so many yummy options. The butter cream filling is great. Definitely will be back every time I'm in town.
If you follow the smell to the delicious cookies from the gondola, it will lead you here. And for every cookie you buy, you get a free coffee or bottled water. What a great deal! This was the perfect sweet snack after a day on the slopes, and along with a nice hot beverage. They have a wide variety of cookies to choose from and the staff is super nice and friendly. I tried the peanut butter, the chocolate chip, and the snickerdoodle cookie and all were delicious although more crunchy that I normally like my cookies and they were also a bit cold. But still, they were great with my hot coffee. There isn't anywhere to sit in the small shop, but there is plenty of seating just outside on the porch area. You can sip your drink and eat your cookie while you watch the people walking by.
Great fresh cookies which are daily made. Huge selection of flavors. Slightly on the expensive side but there's a pile of "day old" cookies sitting on the right side of the store which are cheaper and just as good. Can have long lines but worth the wait. Be careful walking by because the amazing smell will pull you in.
In the past, I've quite enjoyed the cookies and cookie sandwiches I've gotten here. But what I had today is what bumped this place up to 5 stars - The Snookie Monster. And what a sweet monster indeed. It looks like an enormous candy bar, tall and rectangular. They start with a brownie, top it with a THICK layer of peanut butter icing, top that with a peanut butter cookie. Then they dip the entire thing into white chocolate and sprinkle crumbled butterfingers on top. Talk about insane. My husband could barely fit his whole mouth around it. The icing was rich and perfect and I love the chocolate from the brownie. The white chocolate adds a crunch and lot of sweet. So good, y'all!
It's also fun to peek in and see what they have left-over from the day before if you're not picky. Good prices and you can't go wrong with any of their cookies.
