  My wife favorite place to buy yarn. Unfortunately the retail shop is closing in November. They will be only mail order

  Unfortunately, the retail store is closing. You can still order online or by catalogue. Pay shipping or go there and pick it up. We drove pretty far and was sad to know they will be closing soon.

  Don't know what I'm going to do without their retail outlet! It's a "candy store for Crafters!" Will be closed in September, but catalog and online sales remain. Thank goodness!

  Store is closing which is sad as it has a very cool history.However it is just the storefront.I was told it's shifting focus on the online marketplace.

  I enjoy shopping here every time I pass through town and the store is open. It has a wide variety of items I cannot find locally to my home. It is very inviting to try a new technique because displayed items are inspiring. It's just an all-around pleasant experience to visit here. Port Huron seems like a safe-enough place for biking, but I don't recall seeing a bike rack at Mary Maxim.

  If you'd rather shop at a boutique-style yarn/craft shop rather than a mass-produced chain store, you *must* make a trip here. The yarn selection is unreal! Everything from affordable acrylic yarns to their very own Mary Maxim house yarns to luxury yarns that you simply can not find at other well-known craft stores. Lots of books & they even offer free patterns. There's something for literally everyone here from children to seniors, men and women. The fabric section has been reduced to jelly roll-style bundles, fat quarters and small squares for hexi making, but even that selection, small as it may be, is quite nice. Clearance section is pretty nice too! And I also love their selection of boutique-style clothing and accessories. My go-to craft shop for sure!

  great store .. friendly staff bought more than I intended :D There was no pressure sales just kind advice on how to use whatever you are looking at.

  Staff is very helpful, great little store just doesn't have as much products for crocheting, they also do not carry fabric otherwise would have gave 5 stars.
