If you want to support local, shop at Angelis! Prices are typical UP prices, which is high, however there are plenty of reasonably priced items. Great beer, wine, and liquor selection. Amazing olive bar and fill your own olive oil! Also check out their craft food selection with sundried tomatoes, vinegars, and imported preserves etc. This place has almost everything you need and more, which is key in a pretty remote area.

Wow they have a great selection. Stopped here and got my favorite beanitos chips on a road trip. There was only 3 bags left and another gal was eyeing them too. But she went with another choice letting me get two bags. Once to the car, I immediately devoured a whole bag. The price was a a little higher than what it is ironwood mi at super one.

I added a photo of the chips in case anyone's interested in the best chips available on earth.

The revolving door is really cool. Could watch that thing all day. It had festive decorations in some kind of revolving miniature enclosures between the two huge revolving entry ways in the circle.

Overall the place was fancy. Music selection over the loud speaker was good.

Edit. I did not tell you about the "turkey with cranberry mustard" I bought along with the beanitos.
I assumed it would be cranberries inside the bread and turkey with mustard(as an odd twist). Instead it was (probably) cranberry jelly soaked into both sides to the bead and the turkey in the middle. Not delightful. Bring it to customer service for something else. as this isn't tasty at all.

Average to above average quality groceries, prices are very steep. I'm local I usually only go there for emergencies never for full on shopping. I'll drive to marquette, eagle river, or iron mountain for that.

Angeli's is a great grocery store. It is the largest store for many miles around. The store is large with a great selection. The meat and produce departments always have the freshest and best selections.
