Delicious fresh sandwiches, soups, and kombucha--a slice of Brooklyn in the Catskills.

Great place to go for breakfast. I had some fried eggs with ham and a warm cabacci roll. It was an excellent meal. Fat and friendly service also.

I loved this place upon walking in. When I was ordering food, one staff member was rude and expected me to answer a question about my order that I didn't know how to answer as details weren't provided on the menu. She was very impatient with me.

Place closes at 7. At 6:15, all tables had the chairs flipped. We felt uncomfortable and rushed even though they were not closing until 7. Obviously the staff intends to be out the door by 7:04. Very big bummer end to the visit.

People who come here for the first time are fooled into thinking this is a quality place. After all, the marketing on the store and on the menu says "fresh", "organic" and "made-daily" - everything foodies like me look for. However, if you come here a few days in a row you'll quickly see the sham fall apart. The same slimy tactics are used by small eateries in big cities to fool people that they will never see again, but I was shocked to see this in a quaint town like Livingston Manor.

Almost everything on the menu is a lie. From the non-organic, brand-less meats, breads, and mushrooms, to the thawed out "fresh" mozz, week old sides, and premade, store-bought soups and mac and cheese. Did I mention ALL the baked goods are purchased frozen, and “house-baked”? I've watched the owner get yelled at by customers for his measly portions and outrageous prices and watched him pathetically try to justify himself. You're not in Manhattan! Stop ripping people off! No excuses!

The depressed employees will answer any questions about food if the owner is not there, telling me that the "fresh" soup was made more than a week ago and watching them "smell-test" the prosciutto for my sandwich and the milk for my coffee to see if it's still good. Cheeses in the market have clearly had their expiration dates removed. So disgusting - dates on packages are there for a reason! I am reporting this place to the health department.

I was here last year and saw the same inventory on the shelves in the market. No turn over and no quality control in 9 months? I found many expired products on the shelves, and many items with no expiration date at all. But no worries, the bugs and mouse droppings in the dry storage are all I needed to understand just how old this over-priced garbage is. What happened when I brought some expired food to the counter to show the employees? They offered to sell it to me for half off. You expect me to pay for expired food?

Buyers beware. I hope this place gets a reality check.

This place is an oasis in the food desert of upstate NY. We just had the best meal here. Local, fresh, organic, and all the flavors and textures were perfectly balanced. Plus the owner was so warm and friendly. Catskills life is the good life!
