Ok place for a quick jaunt. The staircase is cool and the loop was relatively easy with a nice look out. Went here because we had a few hours before dark. Do your best to enter from the north because the road from the south is quite narrow and has lots of blind curves.

Such a cool place to visit. Very hilly - If youre looking for a leisurely stroll this isn't the place. The castle ruins are amazing to photograph and the trails are more for hiking.

Just a short walk to the ruins which were cool to see. The Ann Stokes Loop to Indian Pond and back was a nice little hike. Trails were narrow at times but still made for a great little hike.

Went here for a photoshoot with some friends. Very secluded with some awesome architecture and beautiful surrounding nature. Had a blast hiking and taking photos.

I almost don't want to talk about this place because it's so cool. Only about an hour and a half from Rt 3, the ruins are super interesting and have a pretty neat history.

Short walk to see the remains of the castle, I wanted to go because of the very interesting and strange life of "Madame Sherri". I would avoid sitting under the arches, they look like they might come down at any time. It is a popular spot for photographers. It was a nice day, so after seeing the ruins I walked the nearby Anne Stokes loop trail. That proved to more quite taxing since it has a steep elevation to a lookout.

Madame Sheri forest is worth the tripThe ruins are beautiful,the trails are easy.
The Madame Sheri had some great gatherings back in the day.

The remains of the castle are fascinatingly eerie. As for the rest of the forest, some of the trails are hard to stay on due to poor marking. Still, a lovely and relatively easy hike!

Great and easy hiking loops with some vistas that are worth the slightly more strenuous hike to reach (Moon Ledge is well worth it)

Awesome place. Lots of local history, and fairly well kept. Fun spot to hike. Can take a leisurely walk, or make it a serious trek via the connecting trails.
