Macken’s went above and beyond in helping us to send our dad to his heavenly reward. Their kindness, compassion, and thoughtfulness was just so wonderful. Margaret did an outstanding job capturing my Dad’s image in a blanket for my mom ( she did not know that the blue of the blanket matched my dad’s eye color!!) and in framed photos for my brother and I. She also put together a great memory card that captured my dad’s love of numbers. Also we so appreciated Macken’s reaching out to the NYPD for us and also helping us navigate Calverton cemetery and assisting us in arranging for the Navy sailors who were a part of the burial ceremony. Thank you for treating a wonderful humble man with such dignity and respect!

I am writing to share my family's very positive review of Macken Mortuary. My Aunt had been ill for sometime and had been staying with us in the Bronx. She wanted her services to be closer to home in Nassau as she lived in Long beach most of her life. When we called Macken and explained the situation, they were very understanding and handled everything. Apparently, there are rules about transporting between the counties that can get sticky. After handling the situation as sensitively as possible, the guys at Macken then set about helping us finalize the arrangements. Macken worked with us so that we could give my Aunt exactly what she wanted, which was complicated by the Covid restrictions. We can't say enough good things about the people at Macken, and would recommend them without reservation.
