I recently had the best experience with Lux Solis while on vacation. I suffer chronic lower back pain and was able to get a same day appointment for a massage with Anne Marie (sic). I went back three days later for deep tissue work prior to going on a fishing charter. Charles took care of me on the second visit and was also able to see my girlfriend on a spur of the moment appointment. The combination of work the two therapists performed for me was out of this world. I have been pain free ever since. Our entire experience with Lux Solis far exceeded any hopes I had for our visit. The staff was kind, courteous, helpful and professional. I can't thank them enough and I highly recommend their services to anyone.
I have waited a month to post this because I wanted to be sure that I did not post in a moment of frustration. Last month, because I like to give as much business to local businesses as possible, I visited Lux Solis planning to have a manicure. pedicure and buy products. I opened the door, and was met with the manager and a number of staff huddled around a computer. I was not immediately greeted, but when my presence was noticed, the manager asked if she could help. I told her yes, but for the moment I needed to look for specific products. She said, "We're closed for training." Yet the front door was open with an open sign. She went on to say, essentially, that I would have to come back another day as "they did not have their system up", presumably the computer? I was astounded. I have been in retail (still own a retail store) and turning down business for almost any reason is unacceptable. As the manager, would it have been too difficult to sell me the products and go to the trouble of getting "the system" up to do so? It's not that hard. Had she simply sold me product, I would have been glad to return for the mani/pedi, but this was not the case. So not only is the likelihood of my going back to do business with them low, but they lost the income of a mani/pedi, product sale and future business. Was it really worth it not to service the customer and keep her as a customer? guess not. I went to Pensacola had my mani/pedi AND bought product. (and had a massage, all at the same location).
It was a relaxing atmosphere. The girls did a good job massaging, washing, and cutting my hair. I feel though they don't know how to properly blow dry my hair.
I was a bit upset because I made an appointment, got there 10 min early, and waited 15 min after my original appointment - about half an hour. And she didn't start me, had to have another girl wash my hair till my original hair stylist finished. So technically, I waited 45min for her funny how they make sure you keep your appointment by texting you a couple of times, but they couldn't keep theirs.
I had a 60 minute massage by Charles and it was absolutely wonderful. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep about 7 times. lol I also had my hair done by Marisa, she was fantastic. She did such a great job, all I've been getting is compliments on my hair. The staff is so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Definitely will be going back frequently.
Had a wonderful first experience here. Definitely will be coming back. Not only was the haircut great, but all the extra touches added to my time there.
Katrina has been cutting my hair for over a year now and does a fantastic job! I've never had a stylist who measured my hair length and used those measurements each time. I get wonderfully consistent results. Highly recommend Lux Solis and especially Katrina!
Good location. Nice atmosphere. Poor management - I bought hair products at stylist suggestion which resulted in hair loss. When I informed staff I was told management would get back with me. This never happened. I think Aveda will be interested in this unconcern for customers.
Thank God for Sydney. Seriously, she is awesome. She takes the time to listen to exactly what I want and asks me detailed questions before she even reaches for the scissors. The first time I saw her I had hair half-way down my back and had her put layers in. The next time I was ready for a drastic change and went back to old-school VBeckham. It is a really intricate cut and Sydney absolutely nailed it with an edge. We are military and I am dreading getting orders, I will just have to adopt her and bring her with :) I've had a lifetime of horrific haircuts so that is why I am so amazed at her skill. Plus she is super cute and funny.
Serene and pleasant interior to very friendly and professional staff make this spa a Navarre's gem! Charles the massage therapist is caring and extremely professional! The massage therapy room is quiet, cozy and exactly what a therapy room should be. I truly enjoyed my first visit and scheduled to return soon! Thank you, Lux Solis, for your presence in our community and top-notch staff for providing exemplary service.
