Nice mountain biking location. A good mix of technical terrain and flow.
Great place to go for walks mountain biking so many cool things the say out there but you'll be there all day
Nice, easy, quiet walk in an urban area. Once you're out there though you forget that you're in Lowell. It's a walk worth taking.
A real woodland oasis. Great hiking and mountain bike trails. Long paved road runs through a section so it is suitable for people in wheelchairs if you can get under the gate at the entrance.
LDT is my home ground for solid MTB trail riding. Fairly technical in the northeast quadrant with lots of rock gardens, and some pretty chunky; root gardens, along with a good portion of winding and creative single track. The seasoned LDT rider knows where the drops, rollers, and steep rock faces are. 😋 But be sure to spray on some repellent for the gnats.
Awesome spot for a quick hike. Many mountain bike trails that look very fun!
Awesome place for walks, but lacking parking
Tina of hiking, biking and other trails covering all sorts of terrain tucked into a city. It's a jewel that most don't take advantage of. No complaints from me.
I love this place ive been coming here since I was a little kid. Its always been the family "spot" its about 25 miles of walking and running with all different types of terrain. Highly recommend coming here!
Heavenly experience walking through the woods here. Serene, calm, fresh, healthy, worth going to.
This was in my backyard growing up. A lot of trails to ride/walk on. Fox's pond is great for skating in the winter.
A solid destination for a hike, but bring a compass and a map of the park. The hiking trails that I've traversed are easy to moderate however the signage (trail markers) are few and far between, and when they cross the interior paved roads, you may find it challenging to identify where to pickup the path on the other side. Remember that this is a place more about land preservation than recreational opportunity. Along the trails you'll find some general wayfinding markers and there is information about park rules / wildlife / hunting regulations posted at park entrance, but do not expect restrooms, a visitor center, guides / rangers or the amenities afforded by National Park properties. There are some lovely places to walk / hike / bicycle though the forest and wetlands but be mindful that you need to come prepared with the resources you need to be comfortable and enjoy the experience. Parking is limited so arriving earlier will be to your benefit. Weekends are probably the most popular time to visit, but if you want a really peaceful trek to yourself, there is no better time than a weekday afternoon.
Absolutely beautiful, isolated forest with lots old tall trees, wild flowers, different terrain, bridges, marshland, so much wildlife. No city or car noises. Some of the best hiking, mountain biking and trail running in the area. Spray yourself up thoughso many bugs, obviously in the warmer months near the water areas you get swarmed near dusk. I love the trails and have yet to explore it all.
