Charming and lovely! We stayed in The Bristol and it was warm and inviting with an amazing history important to Boone. Absolutely loved our room! The owner Scott greeted us a friendly smile and showed us around the lovely old place. He was accommodating and helpful. Upon leaving he and his wife thanked us for our stay and wished us well. We will be back! Wonderful stay!
A lovely place to stay, owners are wonderful and knowledgeable about area. Good place to relax. Will return.
My husband and I just had the most wonderful experience at this beautiful old inn. We had to be in Boone with our child for orientation at App State, which is just down the road. We decided to take some much needed couple alone time and couldn't have chosen a better place!
The rooms are quite lovely and the ambiance of the establishment is perfect. The grounds are beautiful. And the Inn keepers are the most gracious hosts! We enjoyed meeting Scott and Anne, and their sweet dog Heidi. Anne's breakfasts were incredible - rivaling Boone's finest.
We highly recommend staying there. We liked it so much, we already booked for Family Weekend in October!
We spent one night here, and wished we had time for more. Everything was absolutely perfect! The grounds are amazing, they spend a ton of time gardening and it shows. You definitely have to take the time to walk around it and see everything. The house was immaculate and the our room was great. Breakfast was delicious, everything was fresh and hot and home-made. We had a great time talking with the other people staying there. We will definitely be back!
The Lovill House Inn is a beautiful, old house nestled against a hillside in Boone, North Carolina, that is perfect for a romantic getaway. The room was pretty, spacious, and clean. We had champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting for us. The Inn provided us with many amenities, such as access to the kitchen and a refrigerator stocked with beverages and to movies for us to view. A trail behind the house leads to a waterfall and a gazebo where we sat to absorb the relaxing sounds of the small creek. Scott and Ann (and Heidi, their rescue dog) were gracious hosts, and our breakfast (cooked by Ann) was absolutely amazing--eggs florentine, rosemary garlic potato cakes, and sweet potato pancakes. She also made the tastiest blueberry banana bread! Lovill House Inn is now our favorite B&B, and we plan to return soon.
Love this Bed and Breakfast! It is prime example of having a "local feel", family owners who have a well known name and history within the community. They are local pioneers. The Inn is convenient to town, but provides quiet atmosphere. The Home cooked breakfast and the flower gardens out front are my personal favorite amenities.
Where to begin? Scott and Anne could not have been more gracious hosts, making my wife and I feel like we were at home. The Inn and the property are beautiful; the impeccable gardens and the waterfall are not to be missed. We spent the late afternoons rocking on the front porch. Scott gave us a tour to ensure we had the lay of the land, and not only gave us ideas for some day trips, but also a map he marked with directions. Anne was lovely, and quite accommodating to my wife's unusual food allergies-sending her home with some new recipes to make for herself! We will definitely be repeat customers and highly recommend to anyone, the Lovill House in Boone is a great location to visit all the area has to offer. Thank you Scott and Anne for a memorable getaway!
