Lori Friend has been my hair stylist for years. She does a fantastic job cutting, coloring and highlighting my hair. She has also taken care of my three daughters' hair from the time they were young girls into their adult years. One of my daughters who works in NYC comes home to have Lori give her highlights. Lori is THAT good. She is a true professional!

I just had to write a review because I found Lori Friend Hair Studio by doing an internet search for a hair stylist with great reviews in my local area. I had to pay it forward by letting folks know about Lori! Boy did I luck out with my internet search. I hit the jackpot! Lori Friend is spectacular. In my 50 years of getting my hair cut I have never found somebody that is so good in every aspect of what I need done. She is an expert at cut, color and style. She understood immediately what I needed and wanted. The first time I saw her I just needed a little touchup. She gave me a great trim and matched my hair color exactly, making it even better. I had been getting too much processing before and she actually did more for me by doing less. The second time I came in, I told her what I had been thinking about and Lori gave me exactly the color I wanted, highlighted perfectly and naturally, and the cut is just great. I can't stop looking in the mirror! Lori knew exactly what I was saying and executed it perfectly. My only regret is I didn't find Lori many, many years ago!! P.S. It is just amazing being in a such a comfortable, peaceful salon. There are not a million people running around, it's just you and Lori. Awesome.

I have gotten my hair cut at Lori's many times and I am very happy with the result everytime. It has a nice welcoming atmosphere and Lori is knowledgeable and skilled. I recently got my hair dyed there and the color was beautiful.

I would recommend Lori Friend Hair Studio over ANY other business within the field. I have been seeing Lori regularly for 23 years--ever since my very first haircut as a toddler! (Which my mother, of course, has on VHS).

Lori has exceptional knowledge, skills, and creativity when it comes to her work. Whether you go in with a very specific style/cut/color in mind, or you go in and give her free reign--you will always be MORE than satisfied with the outcome.

She has always made a point to know what is going on in my life, and that personal connection is such a rarity these days. The haircuts she has given me throughout the years have always been subject to the compliments and praise of my peers, which is great for self esteem.

Being that I am 23 and have been on quite a budget throughout college and even after graduation, I have never had to worry about spending outside of my ability.
The quality cut, and experience received is at an extremely reasonable, and affordable price for anyone!

I have been seeing Lori since she started cutting hair! She has always been VERY skilled, reliable, and so patient with me. My husband and I moved away in the mid 80's. We still have family in Libertyville so each time I come back to visit I try hard to make sure Lori can take time to color, highlight, and cut my hair. On my last visit my color and highlights were so outgrown, She immediately and confidently knew exactly how to make it look great! I was so happy with the color and cut that I will make sure to make an appointment at her salon when I come back to town. Thanks for being so patient with me when you take the time to explain all that you will be doing to my hair. I miss you as my Full Time hair stylist. SEE YOU SOON. Sheryl :)

I moved to Illinois in 1989 and have been a client of Lori Friend since a colleague recommended I try Lori's services in 1990. Lori does a great job! She can translate what you think you want into something practical yet stylish. When I first went to Lori, she was the only stylist I found who would "foil" my hair. Over the years my whole family has gone in for Lori's touch, and she did a great job styling hair for the entire bridal party in my daughters' wedding. I've recommended Lori's services to a number of my work friends, and over time that circle has grown quite large. Sometimes we are lucky enough to have appointments close together and catch a minute to visit, other times Lori will share news from my friends if she has seen them recently. I am always happy with my hair style when I leave Lori's salon, and would never dream of going to anyone else!
