Dennis was down to earth and explained why their furniture was top of the line. We had gone to 5 furniture stores and this was the only salesman that my husband actually liked!! Not pushy and very thorough. Didn't push us out the door even though it was past closing time!

Adam was very helpful in explaining the types of sofas Longs carried. He answered our questions and allowed us to examine fabrics and pieces of furniture. There was a fall sale in progress which helped us with our purchase. They are very friendly folks with great quality furniture. We visited the Amity location south of Franklin.

We have bought our furniture here for years. Previously shopped Gerdt's - Ayres and Kittles. Long's offers high quality - broad inventory and never get the up-sell. As a matter of fact they usually find a way to maintain or increase quality while lowering the price. We have worked with Brian Hamm there and always well-pleased. He knows the product lines as well as offering alternatives. Long's - none better!

This is the worst company to ever buy a mattress from. First they don't tell you all of the rules up front about their return policy and things but then when you try to handle it and the owner is supposed to call you. He calls you then hangs up on you so you call him back and you don't hear from him for two days. And the issue never gets resolved. The mattress I bought was the worst mattress I have ever bought in my entire life. I decided to venture out and try a different company but I should have listened to my gut and went with the company that I've been working with for over 10 years. I will never do business with these people again. Horrible mattress and even worse customer service.

And now that he's finally got back to me 2 weeks later .. he refuses to fix anything of help me . And instead of calling me back like he told me he could he commented back on a Facebook review . How professional .

Unbelievable customer service!

Long story: (excuse the pun):

At one point in Long's history they had apparently employed a salesman who was more interested in his commission than his customers' needs.

While shopping for recliners at Long's Furniture, hubby and I mentioned to the sales staff our horrible disappointment in the best and firmest matress in the store. We told them how we'd ask our salesman for the hardest matress to help our horrible back pains.

When we told them we were actually sleeping on the wrong side of the pillow top mattress to get some relief and firmness they said "You can't sleep on that side of the mattress!". We said "Well, we have no choice.".. They looked up our account. When they saw who had sold us the mattress, they called the owner.

The owner met with us, apologized for his former employee's dishonesty, explained that what we'd purchased was, in fact, the top of the line, but it is in no way the firmest of the Bowles..And..That although he could not give us a refund after two years, he would not allow us to sleep on the wrong side of the mattress, and gave us a lesser cost Bowles but a new set that is VERY firm.. What we had asked for from the start.

A year later the mattress is still firm and has helped much of our pain.

All furniture purchases for us will always be from Long's.
These people are honest and live by the golden rule.
