This company is like a trash, they have the worst attitude and lowest efficiency. I do NOT recommend you to live here because you will definitely regret that.
Don’t believe some of the five-star comments, look at how many one-star comments are here!!!

DO NOT live here!!! My year here has been absolutely horrible. My apartment was so, so dirty when I moved in. I extra pay for a "deluxe" apartment and there is nothing deluxe about this place. Maintenance requests take forever! You have to remind the office for anything to get done. The students who work in the office are friendly but they are not on the same page. I can never get a straight answer and they usually tell me false information and I have to deal with the consequences. The staff only cares about potential new tenants and do not give their current tenants the attention and care they deserve. Subpar in every aspect. The bus systems is horrendous. On campus you have to push your way to get on the bus or else it will fill up and you have to wait 15+ minutes for the next.

It is an okay place to live. The rent is cheap compared to other places in State College. Quick bus routes to and from campus at all hours of the day. Sometimes the staff in the office can be hard to work with. Watch out for the tow trucks, they're out to get you!

Nice place to live. Very friendly staff in the office and located in a quiet neighborhood. Convenient being right on the catabus route, quick access to penn state and shopping.

This place is horrible. I would not recommend anyone live here. Maintenance will show up 10 days after you place a call. The heating system will shut down for days in the middle of winter when it is freezing. When calling the office, they will not answer for hours claiming to have a call overflow in the middle of winter break when very little people are present at Tremont. New management is horrible, ignore past positive reviews as this management has only come to run Tremont as of this year. They are irresponsible, unresponsive, and rude. The rent is significantly being raised every year with 0 improvement in overall quality in terms of everything and anything. Honestly with increases in rent quality has went down. Additionally, the apartments are outdated and in ruins. Tremont is losing many existing and potential renters due to this. DO NOT LIVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES (if I could I would five them a 0 rating). You will have a better quality of living at the Point or Vairo Village which are both affordable and nearby!

Okay, I'm going to give a TRUE story and honest review here. I'm not a very picky person, I'm pretty acceptable with all the conditions. Yes, the complex isn't always clean, but it doesn't bother me. Yes, the Pool and the hot tub they advertise for only open for like 2 weeks out of the 52 weeks in a year, but Oh well, I don't really care. Yes, the work orders took forever to complete, and the maintenance crew always lie and say they came and fixed it even though I was home all day and no one came to fix it. I dealt with it. NONE of these reasons is why I'm making this review because those are the things I don't really care and I dealt with it and got over it. Overall I had a place to live, not fancy, but decent. HOWEVER, the one thing i CANNOT stand is that, AS SOON AS you leave the apartment complex, and no longer continuing to lease with them. they turn 180 and completely start to threatening you for money. they sent you a sheet and will ask you to pay for all the cleaning after you move out on top of your security deposit. you WILL NOT get your safety deposit back, and on top of that, they ask for additional 100 dollars. they give you a dispute sheet to fill out if you disagree with the charges. which is what i did, because before i moved out, I spend 3 days cleaning the apartment. but GUESS what they did. They threw out the form, and email you after 4 months and say that you didn't turn in the form, and now the dispute deadline is over. and then they went ahead and tell you that you must pay the due within 1 week, if not, they are going to file a law suit. That made me really angry. They are extremely unreliable and disorganized and inefficient. the reason why I'm giving it 2 stars is that, despite all the horrible service and threading for money. after all, they did provide a place to live, a kitchen, a shower, and all the essential things to live. But trust me, you DONT want to get yourself into the situation I'm in. its absolutely frustrating, especially on top of my schoolwork, and i have to worry about Lions Crossing suing me and many other ex-tenants, including my roommates and friends. Nittany crossings is the same company, so i wouldn't recommend it either. There are many other options for living. don't get fooled by Lions Crossing, its definitely NOT worth it. DO NOT rent there! oh yeah btw, after you move out, they block your phone number so you can't call them to ask about it or complain.

The only negative thing is sitting through the first couple weeks of them being busy with repairs/changes to residents rooms, but after that service has been great.

Service men know what they are doing, and are very active in making sure we are kept up to date on the progress. The mail system is very easy to use, and the weight room is a nice addition for those who dont want to sit through lines on campus.

Still waiting on a replacement mailbox key since mine was given to me bent, but thats the only downside in the past month or so! Definitely worth the rent, especially with the promised IT upgrades. If only we could get Ethernet

I never lived in such a messed up place before.

Management is messed up. If I tell any problem to a manager they don't remember even after couple of hours, they don't even tell next staff; they think if their work time is done problem is fixed.
It takes almost a month for my toilet to be fixed and they made a mess while doing that and left without cleaning. I haven't got my key to the house for 2 months.

Since they are ignorant about their job, all the staffs say different stuff. This apartment doesn't have Ethernet connection, there is only WIFI that disconnects constantly, and you cannot even pay to used it.
Funny thing is that manager doesn't even know that there is no Ethernet connection but only WIFI. Management became worse when it was lionscrossing.

Maintenance keep comes in without permission. One day, staff came in and broke water tap and flooded my restroom, all they did for me was bring carpet dryer (uploaded picture).
They put emergency alarm switch where the bed is at(uploaded picture), making hard not to push. Somebody pushes it every 2 weeks and the loud alarm goes on forever. My roommate pushed it by mistake and he had to pay about $300.

Place is breaking down and black water comes out from the bathtub water tap time to time. The bathtub turns into black because of it (uploaded picture).
If you want to order something, there is very limited choice and it takes a hour to get to Tremont.

Tremont is awesome! The new management team makes every resident's needs a top priority. The apartments have plenty of room and the gym, pool and hot tub are great. In addition to the free wifi, cable, and washer and dryer included you cant go wrong here I love it!

If I could give it a lower rating I would. Lions Crossing came under new management and now is called Tremont. Since the transfer they haven't honored the promotion that we were offered to renew. A few people had their requests taken care of but they have stopped responding to my emails. Very unprofessional. No one in management apparently works and they are only worried about new tenants. Extremely frustrating. Also they neglect maintenance requests, send you an email that it's been fixed when it is clear that they haven't entered the environment. The furnishings are so old and such low quality, they probably just want their tenants to be forced to fix them so they don't have to upgrade anything. It has been an absolute nightmare to live here. You would think they wouldn't look to discriminate against Penn State students, but they really don't care. Stay far away from this company, it's not worth the frustration.

Let me start by saying, this is the first review I've ever written on Google. LIVING HERE WAS A HUGE MISTAKE! THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THE DAMN CATA PASS THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY $200 for anyway! We have black particles coming out of our faucet, our water is infested with whatever it is. We are scared to even bathe in our unit. We asked management/maintenance about this and they said it wasn't their problem even though plumbing is listed as a service request option. When we moved in our carpet was full of stains, I'm talking big black nasty humungous stains. We told management and they did nothing about it, this also wasn't their problem according to them. They do not clean the apartments for new residents moving in!!! You get what you get when you move in and we got a nasty mess. The wifi is terrible, crashes often, when it does work it is very slow so good luck doing assignments. They have a "computer room", what they mean is they have two computers with a broken printer. The computers are faulty and crash often, I once lost a 12 page lab report because of it (First and last time using those computers). They add suspicious charges to accounts, they claim to have found a penny in our dish washer, a dish washer that we have not used and have put in multiple work orders in for. It was leaking fishy smelling water all over our kitchen even though we've never used it. Maintenance comes in and out of the apartment when they choose to, sometimes early in the morning when I'm trying to rest for exams. There is no kind of 24 hour maintenance they claim to have. Every work order we've submitted was never fulfilled besides one time they replaced a fan that nearly killed my roommate when it fell on her. Do not let them entice you with cheap rent or cata pass. We had dirty water, dirty carpet, shady management and maintenance, bad wifi, terrible customer service, the list truly goes on. I truly hope this complex gets it together, there's a new owner but still the same crappy service.

Very poor housing. Small kitchen and no sunlight at all in some rooms. The management is poor. Address became invalid before end date of the lease. Residents have to pay for utility several months after the date they used the energy. But, almost no one is there since it is summer. So that every month you have to pay 30 to 40 dollars utility online with 14 dollars convenience fee. In midnight, there were power failures and network instability sometimes. Computers and the printer in computer lab always did not work. Do not choose it. You can find better housing in State College.

Living at Tremont, formerly known as Lion’s Crossing, over the past year has been the worst living arrangement of my college experience. As a college student talking with other people about housing, I would not be able to provide a recommendation to live at this complex. The overall cleanliness and quality of the apartments on the day we moved into the apartment. The lack of cleanliness was extremely apparent when I walked through the door the day I moved in. The worst part of the apartment was the carpet. It was supposed to be a tan carpet, but it was so dirty that it was black with large stains. They sent in people to clean the carpet and the rest of the apartment. It was really bad service because the carpet didn’t get any cleaner and the person cleaning the rest of the apartment walked in and looked around, then left without touching anything. Maintenance requests are often ignored. We had a number of sinks in the apartment that were leaking and we put in a request to have them fixed. The maintenance person came in and told us there was nothing wrong with them. We had to put in two requests before they decided to take us seriously and look at the sinks. It took at least two months for maintenance to finally decide to fix the sinks that had been leaking and causing mold to form. On some other occasions, they ignored the fact our kitchen cabinet has been broken due to water damage and they refused to fix it. We have also had issues with broken counter tops and stains on the walls and ceilings which they were reluctant to repaint. The maintenance team treats you like you are unintelligent. When they do decide to respond to a maintenance request, they come in and treat you like you don’t know anything and just being a nuisance. During the time we were having trouble with our sinks, they were blaming us for them leaking. They told us we were getting water under the seal in the sink, and that was causing them to leak. On another occasion, they told us that they wouldn’t be able to fix my roommates fan in her bedroom because it would cost too much money. The real reason behind it was because they didn’t want to hire an electrician to fix it properly. If they wouldn’t have wired the fan and light switch wrong in the first place, they wouldn’t have had to bring in an electrician. The office workers are rude to you when you have a question and are unwilling to give you information you need to have. This really became an issue when they went under new management because they decided to stop sending emails with information about what is going on. This was something that was important to us because we were given utility and rent bills through emails. Once new management took over, we no longer got our utility bill for over two months. The new management was also really slow with cashing the rent checks and they also wouldn’t confirm with you whether they received the check because they said it was too much work to look for it. Once Tremont finally gave us the utility bill, they didn’t bother to send an email. We now have to use a portal to find our bills and it doesn't work. For anyone looking for a new place to live next year, I would not recommend living at Tremont Student Living because of their lack of communication, poor treatment of their residents and having to live with mold, dirt, and cockroaches due to lack of maintenance on the buildings over the years they have been in business.

Don't live here. You can't get out of your lease, they backcharged us after lying to our faces about the fees. They are awful with mail services, as in I know my package has been delivered but I have to wait until they check it in and email me because they wouldn't let me get it otherwise. New Management is rude towards both the residents and their guarantors. Work requests take forever if they even get done, for me personally my air conditioning had not properly worked all year and even though my roommate and I put in multiple requests nothing was ever seriously done and we ended up paying more because of it. Do not live here, I came in optimistic that this place would be quite nice, about two months after living there I saw why I was still able to get the apartment late in the spring semester for the following year after all the other places were filled.
