Paper thin walls, honestly I can almost hear people breathing next door. Other than that, vary basic but for the price and the neighborhood Good deal over all.

Nice, cheap little rooms. Noisy doors, no extra blanket, window in bathroom didn't stay open, view very nice. For a short weekend it was nice.

The Lido Islander is a five minute walk to the Lido Key Beach and other larger resorts. Consisting of two floors and multiple rooms. No views of the gulf but plenty of extra towels and free to borrow beach equipment. The room I visited had a full kitchenette, full bathroom, a spare bed in addition to the queen(?) Size bed the room came with, and plenty of space for friends to visit and coordinate. The inn also has parking on-site for guests.

Location is great, one block (short walk) to beach. Room is clean and cozy, has everything you need.

Took forever to get in due to no instructions. Wouldnt answer calls but responded to texts. Floors were greasy and need mopped. TINY tv in bedroom. Wall outlet by bed didnt work. Chairs for beach were all broken. Extra $5 just to rent bikes. Wont be staying here again.

Room was cute and clean. Our room did not have a microwave as described on website but one was provided to us after we told an employee that was cleaning another room. We did not have any room cleaning or trash emptying during our stay so be aware of that. The shower was tricky in our room which was the petite room. It was one block from beach. Good location and in a quiet neighborhood. We had to get our on towels and there were no shampoo supplied or coffee but soap was.

We were here for 1 night during a business trip. Overall I would say this hotel is good for short stays. But we did have a few issues.

Pros: Very clean, modern room. Except for the microwave which looked about 15 years old, everything looked very clean and updated. Also the hotel is very close to the beach. Easy walking distance.

Cons: I called ahead before booking online just to make sure that they were still up and running after the hurricane and a man answered the phone . He answered my question but he was abrupt and rather rude. He seemed annoyed and unprofessional.
There is hardly any parking and we had a tough time finding a spot. There was also no body wash, shampoo or conditioner in the room so we we had to use the hand soap that was provided. Pillows are very thin and the lamp shade was ripped. Our door lock was broken so we were not able to lock our door when we left the room. The walls are very thin and you can easily hear everything happening in the next room. Also, there was a very large and roudy family staying there smoking pot outside their room. There was no management on premises to notify about this. For this reason i would not say this is a family friendly place to stay.

Place is ok just with in walking distance to the beach employees are nice place needs and hgtv upgrade but is decent clean well u get what u paid for so not that expensive compare to some other in the area. The place has no pool but there is one next to the beach with u pay only 4bucks for the day Armand's circle is close to lots of restaurants there.

The room was clean but very poor maintenance. The stool had to be watched as it kept running. The tub drips when you turn shower on the cold water shoots water to the back. We felt the advertisement was miss leading. Had to hunt for soap new about towels and toilet paper. They also said provided stuff for beach. So we took an umbrella and chairs. The umbrella was broken we tried to fix it but just didn't work and the chairs were for children. There was no towels for the beach. The distance from the beach was miss leading we drove to get to the beach. The one thing was right was the time to st Armand. We walked there three times.

Avoid this place. Wood cabinet is decaying and bed is uncomfortable. This place needs up keep, the rooms are tiny! Cable signal was cutting on and off. a guy was peeing in the front of the building at 230am ( I know the manager can't help that). All together a waste of money. We will not return also we will not recommend this place to anyone. Only reason it is 2 stars because the beach is close by.

We enjoyed our stay in 6A (single queen bed) for two weekend nights in early February 2017. Check in process was very easy, just pick up your envelope from the guest box when you arrive (after 3 pm). The room was very clean and had everything we needed (mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker). Bathroom was spotless. Despite what others have said, our room was VERY QUIET. We did not hear a peep from the other rooms which were all full. Parking was not a problem even when we returned after a late dinner on Longboat Key. Suggestion: bring your own bath soap (theirs is micro size), shampoo (there was none), and coffee (Starbucks Via single serve packets are great). Only issue was the clothes iron did not work, but we managed to survive without using it. Location couldn’t be better on quiet street two blocks from Lido public beach (5 minute walk). Also 8-10 minute walk to St. Armands Circle restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay here again next time we need our beach fix!
