It is super safe
Bloody dreadful. The only positive thing I can say about the district, is that it's safe. Or at least somewhat. Since the lockers lack actual locks, there have been some cases of minor theft in the locker rooms. But the worst part is the bloody school board. In short - hats are banned, phones are banned, playing cards are banned, the school's WiFi has a broken blacklist system which results in essentially everything useful being blocked (They even blocked Encyclopedia Britannica), also the dreadful "hands only" policy for relationships. Might as well ban breathing on the school property, for crying out loud. Also, the student body is almost entirely composed of normies that don't appreciate dank memes. I give this school an overall rating of 1 floppy weiner out of 10. Would not reccomend, as this school sucks a big pee-pee (not in a good way).
My experience here was poor. Most of the teachers are good. The subs are o.k. The student body however has not been raised in the best of ways or educated in proper manor to survive life after high school. Most students don't perform antiquity in class nor do they say at a school appropriate level.
I've lived in Lawson my entire life both in town and in the sticks! When I met and married my 1st husband he was from Oak Park. I tried the city life and YEP it didn't last long. It was like I was in a constant rush to get somewhere and wait at crowded intersections for a red light to turn green just to move forward a block and wait in another long light. So therefore we came back to "My Home Town" and started a family I could NEVER image going to a school so large that you didn't know even half the people in your own class which is how it was for my ex husband and his school. We've since divorced but the city boy stayed here because he enjoyed the laid back feel of a small loving community. I've remarried and again he was from a large town ( St Joe) we bought a 15 acre farm towards the Rayville area (but still in Lawson School District 😉😊) it's been 7 years and he every once in a blue moon complains about being in the middle of no where lol that is until Hunting season, target practicing and riding our ATVs is going on and all u have to do is walk out your back door lol I have family members that are city officials and my mother worked for the local dentist for over 25 yrs.but it has grown so much that it's not much of a everyone knows everyone so much anymore. But u can bet your sweet ass if u do something funny or crazy everyone will know who u are and what u did before you even get back home lol
I have two boys one is a sophomore and the other is in Kindergarten. I have to say we're a A+ blue ribbon school district for a reason. WE ARE LAWSON! and yes we take care of each other hand in hand even if your new to town!
Boring as Water
