I Love Lauriol Plaza for the fajitas and swirl margaritas! Gave them a 4 star because when my party arrived they couldn’t find our reservation so we had to wait around 15-20min and the tacos only came with 2 tacos which left my 10 year old hungry and eating off my plate by the end of the night. Definitely a great restaurant that I encourage everyone in the DC area to try at least once.

Great food at a great price. Entrees are filling. Chips and salsa are complimentary. They have daily specials and a good happy hour (only available at the bar, though). Seating at the bar is limited, so go early if you want to take advantage of the happy hour deals.

One of my favorite places in DC! The swrvice is fast and excellent. Drinks are delicious along with the food. The chips and salsa are fresh and amazing every time. Great location for large parties.

Great experience! I had been to Lauriol before and it was awesome both times. The service is great, the menu is just extensive enough and the food was very good. Oh and the drinks were well-made. Try the frozen margarita sangria swirl!

Have passed by many times and was finally in the area. It was Margarita Monday and drinks were half price, but not really. We were there around 5p and service was slower than expected.
The nachos were warm, light and great. The frozen drinks were served in a beer mug, not that strong, and the flavor was weak. You are attracted to the overall atmosphere but there are smaller places that blow them away for less.response / report this review -

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. They have a rotating specials menu that offers delicious steak and seafood dishes. I usually get the Rockfish or Red Snapper when available. They have the best margaritas and chips and salsa. The chips are always fresh and crispy.

I'm in DC visiting from Pittsburgh for my birthday weekend and searched for restaurants and lauriol stuck out. The ambiance was very intimate and the staff was friendly. The food was prepared to perfection and very little wait time. This is my second time visiting and lauriol was on the list of must eats. I will definitely refer to friends and family when they visit.

Great atmosphere- this location has a patio plus three levels, and it is always packed. Great happy hour and weeknight specials. We always have great service and the food comes quickly. The seafood soup is surprisingly good for a Mexican restaurant. Delicious food and large selection. Great prices.

Beautiful restaurant with lots of room, inside and outside. Fantastic service and great reasonably priced Tex-Mex. Perfect for happy hour, brunch, or date night. You might want to consider a reservation on most nights -- wait times can get close to an hour.

Surprisingly spacious and pleasant restaurant in space-starved DC. Very attentive staff. Pork belly taco is good but needs a more fatty cut of pork. Duck in duck taco is over cooked and dried. Perfectly grilled vegetable. Margarita is sublime. A place one would want to go back again.

I did not try the margaritas but everyone at the table enjoyed their frozen margaritas especially the mango and lime flavor. The portion size of the veggie platter and most other entrees is big. Really enjoyed sitting outside a the weather was good.

I was here yesterday for a late lunch around 3pm and it wasn't busy and got the worst service ever!! Me and a man was seated on the lower outside patio. We set there for about 30 minutes, chips and salsa was dropped on the table. A few minutes later I had to get the waiter attention that was waiting on the table across from us. I asked her did she have our table. She replied no but I can take your order after she took the order we still never knew how our waiter was so I asked for a Manager then a male waiter came and changed the salsa bowl and never introduce his self as our waiter (Alex ) right after the manager came over and I explained everything to him and he said I'm sorry we will take care of you (Juan Lopez) service never got better after we waited a while for the check after he (Alex) brought the check back it wasn't no discount on the check I asked for the Manager again he came back to the table I told him sevice never got better and could he discount the check he (Juan Lopez) said no I can't do that just don't leave him a tip. So I asked for the general manager number he gave it to me with no hesitation (Jose Bolloui) I call him right after and he wasn't the general manager he said this is the office of the general manager I'll take your name and number and he will call you. I still haven't heard from no one. I will never go back here again after being a customer for over 10 years.

Went tonight and the food was amazing. I'm also a chips and salsa addict and their chips are super thin and delicious and the salsa is pretty good too. I was eating by myself due to traveling for work and they brought my food out very quickly which is always nice when you are eating alone.

Great happy hour! Try to go when the weather is nice and you can sit on the deck outside. Otherwise, you're limited to a small indoor bar area and every time the door opens, you feel the cold air! I'm cutting a star because it's pricey for the food, usually too crowded for happy hour, and parking can be a hassle. Just get valet. It's likely cheaper and quicker unless you find a free spot on the residential streets.
