I felt safe because there were a lot of people around. Great place for a lunch or larger get together. Good for couples with lots of trails and scenery.

It's great for kids and is beside the Holston River. Numerous pavilions for seating, so it would be great for family and friends to have picnics etc. It also has hiking trails and waterfalls. It's moderate hiking about two miles with streams running by the trail and stunning beauty for great photos. It connects into Bays mountain park so it's good to have a map of both. When you reach the falls past that is bays mt. As with anything in nature there will be animals and things to watch for such as snakes. It's a great place and seems to be clean and a friendly place.
