My husband and I joined my brother for a hike at Lake Accotink. I had once lived in North Springfield many years ago and would occasionally walk there with our young children when the trail was just a narrow dirt trail around the lake. What a joy it was to find such a wide and well maintained trail there now. We enjoyed every step of the way as we completed close to 4 miles of hiking. While the park is about a 45 minute drive away from us now, we look forward to getting back there to enjoy the beauty of each changing season..

Great local history, conservation, and recreation information about the Lake Account Park area. Park staff offices, small meeting rooms available.
