The reason this restaurant gets 2 stars is that it had a good atmosphere. If it was based purely on food, I would give it 1 star.
My first fish entree ($36!) was cold when it arrived. It went back and came back over cooked.
In a months travel, this restaurant was the most expensive with some of the worst food it is overpriced and the quality of food is poor.response / report this review -

The food is top notch, but very pricey. The portion sizes at least give you a fair amount for the cost. I got the salmon fettuccini, it was very flavorful and had lots of salmon bits as well as vegetables. I could only finish half. If you get a dish with seafood, prepare to pay around 30 dollars or more, but you won't be disappointed with the quality of food.

Not sure what they were doing with the seasoningsbut my husband and I both had the seafood sampler and each item had a different and odd tasting sauce. Maybe just one sauce would have been okay, but fit was not tasty at all! And was over priced. I think they were trying for an Arizona flavor, (as in Kokopelli) but it didn't work for me. We lived in Arizona for many years and never experienced those flavors. Even the clam chowder had a strong seasoning. We had a long wait, but due to the fact that they were about the only place open in town that was understandable.

I enjoyed dinner here with my mom and grandma. We were on a little bit of a budget so we decided to share a meal and an entree. This was perfect because the three of us still walked out with our tummy's full and a smile on our faces.
The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was very comfortable. And the food was so flavorful and full of taste. We loved it all!

Very disappointed. I've worked in the same restaurant for 23 years so I know all about food service and it's industry and this place seems to have people fooled or we came in on a real bad day. We were seated and it took a long time to get our order taken. So long that the people that came in after us got their food and were done by the time we got ours! When we thought the food would be coming out, no, it was the waiter saying that they didn't have what I ordered and I needed to choose something else. When our food did arrive it was disappointing. They say you should eat with your eyes, nose then mouth and in this case I almost didn't get it even in my mouth to taste it! My blackened chicken burger was burnt, literally and was all I could taste. We ordered Mac and cheese which was completely greasy and tasteless. Our sons chicken strips were so fried that there was just breading and no chicken left while the fries were completely limp. Fortunately we spoke up when the waiter asked how everything was, noticing not much food was gone, and we told him exactly what I just wrote so he comped part of our meal. I will probably never return, unless by force.

We were there last night on our trip through Oregon and Washington state. It was the best meal we had in our two weeks of travel. The staff was so sweet and helpful in answering our questions about the area and in deciding on what to eat and drink. Don't miss this wonderful stop on your travels through the Olympic national forest

Great seafood, wine and beer. Was very busy when we went. Had to wait for 45 minutes. The food was really good and so was the atmosphere. Little on the expensive side. Reserve in advance. Try their daily catch of the day. Fresh fish!

Hostess and waitstaff was ridiculously rude. We walked in at 8:58 PM, on aware that they closed at nine. If the gentleman that greeted us explain that they were closing we would've been on our way to find somewhere else to eat. Instead he said he would be right with us and seat us in a moment. After standing for an entry for over 10 minutes while waitresses and waiters walked by glaring at us, another lady returned and told us they were closed and could not seat us. I commented that it would've been nice if the young man that greeted us would've just told us that. She then snapped back that "we don't have any tables available anyways" which was clearly not the case as there was a number of empty tables.
She was very rude and never once apologized for the miscommunication. We will never step foot in this establishment again.
If you want great food and great service had a couple blocks away to Michael's Seafood and Steak house.response / report this review -

We were told 45 min for our party and seated in 30. The smoked salmon chowder was the best I have ever had! Everyone loved their meal. The Service was prompt and courteous they accommodated all our requests. We will without a doubt be back.

This place was very hyped up to me, and sadly after ordering the chicken friend steak, I was a bit disappointed, the waiter told me the steaks were huge then upon bringing me my meal he tells me this is the smallest one he has seen. On top of that, the steak was gritty and not at all tender. Staff was polite and friendly and I can see how other people like it, just wish my meal had been better.

My favorite place to eat in Port Angeles, hands down! Cajun rubbed steak, ancho chile butter grilled prawns, incredibly fresh and deliciously southwestern style seafood you cannot order something bad here. Close your eyes point at the menu and whatever you land on will be bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. Service rocks too and you CANNOT beat the water views !!

Very fresh food. Friendly service. Chicken fried steak on the menu. Hubby likes chicken fried chicken, asked the waiter if the chef could do that southen version. No problem. Delicious.

We tried it today for the 1st time. Sure wish we did this earlier. I had the most amazing smoked salmon fettuccine for the same price I'd pay for a clubhouse sand and fries other places. We went for lunch so I'm sure the dinner menu would be more. We ate upstairs so it was a nice view. Service was exceptional. Gotta try the sangria mulled wine! They say southwest but to me it's more seafood. Salmon chowder and fish and chips are great as well. All seafood is local. We had a great time. Bar is open but cozy.
