A nice state park with many things to do from just having a cookout, going on the hiking or biking trails, go fishing in the many ponds or even the river, or my favorite, going camping in the nice, clean campgrounds with some of the lots right up a hill from one of the ponds. My family and I go camping here in the summer, ride around the park, and go fishing. We really enjoy cooking our Smores over the campfire at night in the peaceful campgrounds. Go and check it out, you'll definitely return there again.

Pretty place, but some areas were closed. Rough trails that are steep and slick and muddy. Good if you have a small boat and want to fish.

Nice area but you have to check online to find out if the shelters you want to BBQ is not booked, and website is so not so user friendly! would be nice if they add reservation board nearby each shelters.

Been passing this place for decades now and always wanted to stop. Finally remembered prior to starting trip. The park is nice. Very rustic look with modern convenience. Bistro located on the pond. River runs past the campsites. Road in is narrow and busy with local runners and traffic. Hosts are hard to find and harder still to get to do anything but most of the campsites are long and pull-thru. Dump station is convenient and clean. If you reserve on line your name will be on a handwritten note on you site post. Close enough to the interstate that you hear the road noise but it isn't too bad. Exit 206 on 74 turn North for exactly a mileslow down as the turn to the park is around a curve and heavily treed. Same exit off 206 has a very modern and well laid out Pilot with excellent RV lanes.

Very nice park. Dropped one star since we reserved a shelter for the day online and when we arrived it had not been posted and another family was already set up. Thankfully they were willing to share the space for the afternoon.

Prices for boat rentals recently increased since it became privately owned. Still well worth it though if you enjoy the serene peacefulness of nature.

In my 2014 Indianapolis visit I attained a picnic with some relatives and some students society at this park. I'm a activity lover person so I liked this super active place. Loved kayaking in the lake and this was my first ever kayaking in life. I enjoyed fully that day.

Easy on / off. Staff are friendly. Lots of area to walk the dog or stretch your legs. There is also a historical "pioneer cemetery" behind the rest stop along a trail, but I didn't visit this on this stopMaybe next time.

Went here in the winter when it warmed up a bit. The trails are great. They aren't too well defined, but it's definitely obvious where they are. It's a good mix of direction and immersion. The scenery was beautiful and the lakes were pretty. Only downside is that the roads are close by and passing cars can be heard while on the trails

I've been camping here since I was a kid. We go in late fall and there is hardly any other campers. It's nice but it's pretty noisy with the interstate being so close. Other than that, this place is beautiful.

Great campsite! Clean and well-maintained. Plenty to do if you love being outside, including just sitting in your own camp chair and watching a fire. Camp hosts were super nice people. Definitely will go back again
