This place is a must see! You can go their to educate yourself, get some exercise or to just soak in some beautiful scenery. Great family environment with easy access trails throughout the park. The park is so spread out, even when it's crowded, you still feel like you have the place to yourself!

The best “mountain” hiking experience you can have in the the greater Atlanta area. Over 6 miles of trails with a nice mix of incline and flatter backwoods hiking. Scenic views, dog friendly, and diverse terrain, this National Park has something for everyone.

My son and I love the trails. This place offers multiple paths that range from easy to hard. My son and I can easily walk a 5K and it feels like we just started. The trails offers information about the war, monuments and canons. Which are pretty neat!

This is an absolutely beautiful public park with an amazing Civil War history. Great vista of Atlanta and Buckhead from the way point and summit. Trail could be moderately challenging for somebody that does not walk or hike occasionally, (roots and rocks to navigate). It is conveniently located just a few miles North of Marietta square. They have nice facilities and an information center at the main base trail-head. Enjoy!

Great place to hike! We like to go hear often. I've taken our dog here many times. We've also gone with our family, including younger grandchildren. I like that there are so many trails of varying difficulties. Sometimes it's nice to go as a family and enjoy a good hike. Other times it's nice to go with the dog and have a challenging hike/run. Definitely recommend visiting - and often :-) !

There's not much of Atlanta's Civil War past the is still preserved. This is, and maintained very well. You have the option of driving or walking to the top. If you want some historical perspective go in July and walk. Museum was good. I don't remember it costing any money. Could be wrong on that.

So peaceful and safe. You're never too far from civilization but just far enough to get away from it all. It's really busy though so you'll always run into someone. There are signs every quarter mile so you wont get lost. Beware the wildlife though, a deer might cross your path.

A lovely park full of rich history a short distance from Atlanta. We enjoyed the tour up to the top of the mountain with beautiful views for miles. The visitor’s center has an interesting museum and the half an hour movie about the history of the battles in the area is a must see.The movie is very well done.

This park is great! I hiked here almost the whole day and the trail was always fantastic. The trails are very well maintained and are always clear. I recommend planning a route because you can get yourself very far away without realizing it! I even saw many people running these trails. I highly recommend this park for a person of any skill level.

This is an important historical location near Atlanta that has something for everyone. While most people take the hike up to the top, the visitor center has a great civil war museum and movie worth at least 30 minutes of your time.

The Park Service offers a shuttle for those not able to climb (the trails are well maintained with moderate incline). There are many miles of hiking available up and around the mountain. Picnic areas and plenty of parking (in overflow lot).

Loved it!! Went with a coworker to get a nice hike in. Got a little of the history as well once I reached to the top since I myself am not a Georgia native. It was definitely a breath of fresh air since i love doing stuff like that and am a fan of nature by heart. Hopefully I will be trekking this lovely terrain with a camera and on my bike soon! will be my new terrain for riding. Will try out the other mountain terrains as well.

Our entire family loves hiking here. The trails are well maintained and make for a great hike with fantastic views. The road to the top is also a good way to make the hike if you have children in strollers, as is often the case with us. It's long been a family favorite, and will continue to be for a long time.

I had never been until a few weeks ago. I expected a rather small, unexceptional park, but I was very impressed! The small museum was interesting and educational. I enjoyed hiking up the trail as well. It's a nice path that I was able to run down with ease. Going up is not too bad as it is in the shade. Great experience! Hope to go back!

My mom and went hiking here for alone time and there are beautiful views. It is great exercise and you can see Atlanta from the top of the mountain. They have a small, but neat civil war museum with merchandise. Bathrooms are decent. Please visit this beautiful area to hike, have a picnic, see the museum, ride you bike, or play in the field. -1 star however, because all the parking spots are usually taken.

Loved my time up there. Nice challenging hike up the mountain and really cool to see some history along the way. Gorgeous sites seeing around the metro area. This area is so green. And despite it being quite hot and sunny that day it stayed cool most of the trek along the trail as trees surround you most of the way. Worth the trip up. Can't wait to go back to complete the hike from one side to the other and back
