Great family owned small town restaurant. Owner was very pleasant and checked on our meal and service several times. Food was delicious.

We absolutely love this restaurant and recommend it to anyone looking for a family owned place to eat. The salad bar and Windy Whopper are our favorites, along with the chicken noodle soup. Don't forget to grab a mug of 1919 Rootbeer from the tap while you're there. The staff is friendly and the service is quick! Call ahead and make a reservation Friday-Sunday as they can be very busy.

Had the Sunday evening buffet. Excellent!! Homade cinnimon rolls were an unexpected treat. Others were having burgers that also looked great! Locally grown buffalo is available.
Besides great food and wonderful service, the staff offers up a caboodle of information of local lore and things to do. Apparently, if you stay at the hotel across the road, you can get half off your breakfast at Kalmes

Burgers (and prices) were great. Ate in the bar and had attentive service from the bartender. The dessert of apple tart a la mode (made with local apples) was a huge portion, and very tasty.
