Had a great tour of the Pittsburgh waterfront in a fun and unique vehicle. The tour guide told us a lot of history of Pittsburgh , steel factories, and the interesting vehicle called the "duck". We got to drive on the streets as well as the river. A new perspective to a great town.

Jason and Eliza had some good mojo going as our captain and guide. Jokes were as good as Disney’s Jungle Cruise but the best part was being able to actually sit behind the wheel of this old bird and get a picture. Eliza had a great working knowledge of the history of Pittsburg. Jason’s joke about the Bengals trophy case was a good rip on the Ohio guests. Fun stuff!

The your is conducted on water and land. The experience depends on the your guide's ability. Don't see a lot on land but do get some interesting tidbits. Water portion gives some nice views especially where the three rivers come together. For $25 it is average value.

They might cancel with little notice! I worked for months to schedule a Just Ducky Tour with fix friends. I made a reservation for a Sunday at 6 p.m. which was confirmed that morning. At 3:50 p.m. they called and cancelled the tour because they didn't have enough people to go. The person I spoke to admitted that they needed 15 people to break even so they felt it was better to inconvenience us than run the boat. They offered me the 4:30 tour instead but since they called so late, I couldn't get there in time as the Parkway East was closed for the weekend.
I wrote them a letter explaining the situation in detail. I also requested my money back for the gift certificate that I had been given since this left such a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to go through this again. it has been a week and I haven't heard anything back from them.
Bottom line - be prepared for them to cancel if you're not scheduled for a popular time!response / report this review -

Came to Pittsburgh for the first time and wanted to see the city and this was perfect. It gives you a brief 1 hour tour of the city from land and water. Definitely worth the $25. While it doesn't show you the entire city, it does show you the main parts of the city.

The captain and the admiral were great silly fun while sharing trivia and pointing out thing that, as a local, I should know but didn't. The tour takes about an hour, it is on both land & water, and there is a chance to steer the ducky in the river. If you are looking for an intense, info-packed journey through Pittsburgh, this isn't it. If you are looking for a more relaxed journey through Pittsburgh with bad jokes, trivia, and loud quacking, then this is for you! I was on the one in Philly, and it wasn't as much fun as the Pittsburgh one is.

The whole experience was amazing. We had Captain Kim & tour guide Tonia. They were knowledgeable, funny and so wonderful with my family. Highly recommended!!!

I highly recommend playing tourist in the city you grew up in. I did just that last week with my daughters and we had an amazing day. The ducky tour was surprisingly fun and informative, the guides are funny.. It's a good opportunity to take pictures if you're into that & it was fun to go out on the river. Afterwards we had dinner at Station Square and rode the incline. Definitely worth it!

Really cool tour! I went once when I was 14 with my mom and just recently with my boyfriend (we're 20). The tour is sooo fun and it's definitely a Pittsburgh must! The drivers really know a lot about Pittsburgh and are willing to answer any questions you have. You get to drive down the river and see the fountain and the Mister Rogers statue, along with Heinz Field. The boats look really neat and kids can even drive them out on the river!

The Just Ducky tour is nice way to see the Golden Triangle portion of Pittsburgh, especially for those who might not have the time or ability to walk the area. The driver and tour guide were both pleasant and informative, pointing out major landmarks and offering small tidbits of facts you might not know about Pittsburgh history. Our family has experienced Duck tours in several different cities and this is on par with them all. Great views of the main downtown skyline and the stadiums, especially from the water. My kids enjoyed taking a turn driving the boat, too. Only wish we could have gone further down the rivers than just sticking around the Ohio near Point Park, but that's a minor disappointment. Overall, if you have folks in town who are interested in seeing the central area but don't have much time or ability to walk, I'd highly recommend doing the tour.

This is a great way to experience Pittsburgh. I learned a lot about the city I never knew. The drivers made it really fun and memorable.

Less quaking at everybody in Pittsburgh and more learning. If you take a couple hours to actually walk around the town you can see everything they show you. Pittsburgh isn't that big. I paid almost 100$ for a family of 5 and it was a complete waste. Get a pass for the tram and just go walk around and Google the things you want to learn about. You will get more out of it

Took my family on this when they were visiting. Figured it would be kind of silly. But we had a fantastic time roaming around the city and on the Ohio River. It was definitely a bit quirky but was very informative and gave me so many other great ideas to do in the city.

The tour was a blast! Bob and Jarrod kept it fun while telling us very interesting facts about Pittsburgh. Great experience! We'll be taking another group of relatives with us later this summer!
