Went to a pony-riding party with excellent horse handlers. Other aspects of the location and party planning could have been handled better by staff.

This is a real working Dude Ranch equipt with a full officiated, licensed, and insured arena. The grounds r backed by around 800 achres of land that u may wonder effectively with a guide. The horse trails r abundant and u can see marvals of the Pennsylvanian mountain landscape! The cottages range from hotel style to lovers nest quarters :) u may wonder around * The Mainhouse* with amenities such as; a game room connected to a gift shop and adjacent to the main parking lot. This is all handicapped accomidating. U can wonder into the Saloon and visit the front desk as well from this entrance. Along ur way to the cront desk* following the signs* u may find urself at an A.T.M I suggest u utilize this machine. Bullets cost money, the firearms do not if u intend to utilize the fireing range, prepair urself. Ic u decide to enjoy the bar * Saloon* , again.. Prepair urself. If u decide to spend ur time in the gameroom, again, visit the A.T.M. The gift shop allows u to use a credit card upon purchase so no worries there. There is a pool 5hat is heated located near the *MainHouse* entrance, aslo found by the Staff Clerk desk. There r full dressing and changing rooms found in the * Pool Room* . The MainHouse patio porch has full amenities to comfort u while u look abroad upon the pond and fountain infront of the * MainHouse* u may take a paddle boat out to wonder around the pond or to fish. U may also take A.T.V. and Cattle Drives, all inquires at the Front Desk. This also depends on availability so inquire ahead. I give this ranch a 4.5. The food is prepaired by an excelent Chef, yet controlled by the owners who dont know good food, most of the time this Chef goes beyond the call of duty and prepairs excelent food. He may get in a bit of trouble for u :) but hey, its all about us, right?! The grounds keepers will do their best to accommodate you, so fear not. All is auspicious to flow as any other accomidating place. Enjoy ur stay at this Ranch. Expect to pay anything thats not in ur parties amenities. Weddings and Receptions r most welcome! You may also have parties on property, filled with bon fires and music at ur request:) Hunters r welcome too u may accuire a targeted prize and return with ur trophy. Find a tree my friend, there r plenty :) then return to ur quarters and bathe the hunt, take a nap and return for a multiplicity of possibilities:) Enjoy ur stay while u visit, i heard rumour of a real life Princess that frequents this ranch, i tottaly understand why Who would miss a cookout?!

The guest and staff were very nice. Horse riding very limited. Did like being disconnected, but not many activities to do once you check in. If you asked a question they would do their best to answer,but would not be forth coming as far telling you the information. For the price wasn't worth it at all, food not great, alcoholic beverages not included not even soda.. For a luxury all inclusive trip, not very luxury, and not really inclusive.

Best place ever. Our first time and we love it. At the begining if you are not use to the country life you can feel bored. It's not tv on the rooms, not wifi, no phone lines unless you are in the main cabin, but once you star enjoy nature, horses, and the ranch employees you will understand their concept. Everyone is so friendly, we felt like we know them forever. Love it, love it.

We spent a night at Malibu Dude Ranch and couldn't spend a second night there. The accommodations and food were horrendous and not worth the high cost. The room was in poor condition with gaps in the doors that allowed in all sorts of critters. We woke up to find a frog and large spiders in the room. Our kids did not want to spend a second night there. Everything was at additional cost after spending over $1200 per night. The food was not cowboy style. All this being said, the horse and rifling staff were amazing. We also learned that the ranch was granted the week prior the ability to convert to a Wellness Rehab facility for recovering individuals who suffer from mental illness and are in drug recovery. A very worthy venture that deserves support. However, I wouldn't book any long term plans as your stay may be forfeit.

My boyfriend got us day passes for my birthday and overall it was a fun experience! We had a ton of fun and I loved riding taboo! I will definitely come back but I'm not sure the day pass is worth it and we may just come for a ride.. included in the day pass we did archery, mini golf and rode in a paddle boat on a pond.. the archery was fun but pretty much impossible because the arrows did not penetrate the target and just bounced off so we just stuck leaves up on the hay around it to shoot at. I think spray painting a Target on the hay instead would be more fun. Also, almost all of the arrows didn't fly right due to horrible damage done to the fealthers even some feathers were missing! And I know this was done due to people not putting the arrows on the bow correctly so I would suggest showing people which way the arrows go on the bow and also investing in a new set of arrows.. Everything else was fun. The mini golf could be upgraded as it is very bla and not super exciting at all. The lunch they provided was good.. We LOVED riding the horses and oir lead trail person was great and we would come back just for that though! It's a fun place but needs some upgrades pretty badly.

Fun place for a day trip but you can do everything in one day. Horse back riding was fun, property was nice and seemed well maintained. Mini golf was showing its age and archery was a bit of a let down. Shooting range was good but a little bit extra and food was decent.

We had an amazing stay at the ranch we were there 3 days 2 nights. The room was rustic and great for the venue kind of bunkhouse feel which was perfect. All the meals were great very nice staff. We did shotgun shooting, the rodeo, fishing, paddle boating all were great. The real reason this trip was so great the horseback riding!!! They have the best setup and trails I have ever been on the horses where great the guides were helpful and allowed everyone to ride at their own comfort level. If you want riding time this place is the best. We did over 6 hours of riding and loved every minute. Chris the manager was awesome and also helped us do team penning which was great for both my wife a beginner and me with lots of experience. This place is beautiful and well worth the time and money! If all they offered was trail riding it would be worth it. I can't say enough about Chris and Jen and Josh and the horses for making our trail experience great. It's laid back and you can get as much out of it as you want.

I called Malibu Dude Ranch to find out if they provide pony rides for my 2.5 yrs old son. We wanted to call ahead of time to confirm the age since we were disappointed by another horse stable. They said yes, specifically "7 and under." I told them the age of my son and they said once again "7 and under." My husband and my sons Grandfather also called to confirm and they said the same thing. (They too stated my sons age). My son was very excited and once we finished filling out the waivers the young girl at the front desk asked if he was 3. We told her 2.5 yrs and she said he had to be 3. We were highly disappointed as was our son.

Horseback riding all day! 9:00 am untill 5:00 pm. The Cattle drives are beautiful and can be scheduled any day of the week which is helpful. They know exactly which person to put on which horse, matching their personalities/ wants. The gun range is a way to really get the full cowboy experience, it was our 2nd favorite. The food is delicious and the staff are helpful and kind. Definitely coming back.

My family and I went for the New Year's weekend and it was great! The horses are beautiful and the barn very well kept. You can ride unlimited all day long and the riding staff are awesome. The 3 meals a day was great! Defintely worth checking out.
