Great rock formations, of course wonderful Joshua trees, ample hiking trails, parking with clean outhouses. Saw some wildlife, namely small birds and lizards. Camping is available. Very exposed to the sun so be prepared! Would be nice to view the night sky here. Go to the visitor centre to obtain excellent information as to where to go and what not to miss. Very helpful!

Staff was not super friendly, but they were busy so it may have just seemed like they were abrupt. Unfortunately they were out of the passport stickers, but we got the book stamped. The visit to the park was very enjoyable, great weather and fun hikes. Beautiful views and many great photos!

This place is really inspiring. It feels massive and reminds you how small we really are. It’s a great place to rock climb or boulder, or just scramble around on the rocks. My favorite thing about this National Park is the space. It seems you can always find your own little spot. When I was little, my parents brought me here. We were scrambling around the Skull rock area and we stumbled upon a meditating man. He asked us what time it was. That’s sort of what Joshua Tree is all about.

The visitor center must be visited for the maps and other guidance to check out the park if it’s your first time. They have displayed information about park trails, places to check out and some history behind the park formation & preservation. They also have a gift store that you can go to for souvenirs. The park rangers were pretty helpful.

Wow, what a stunning national park and all because of Minerva Hoyt who worked so hard to preserve it. You can spend days and days here, the landscape is overwhelming, some of the rock outcrops are over one billion years old! Don't miss out on a deeply transforming experience.
