On Friday September 30, 2022, Jones Mortuary provided a poor model of customer service, for my sister-in-law for her homegoing. Even though it may have been accepted by others, Jones should have advised to have a close casket.
The presentation of the body was very poorly done. It looked nothing like the deceased family member. We were traumatized by the way she looked. Not to mention the wig style was draped over her face.
The order of the service displayed a make-up as you go script inside the church. It all appeared to be a rush job.
The founder of Jones mortuary always served the community with love, care and professionalism. The same service should be offered to all during times of loss a family member.
People here are very rude. They need to learn how to talk to a grieving family rather then treating as just business matter and definitely not, exact words from Marshal “take it or leave it” offer. False advertisement regarding providing video/ zoom during pandemic. They don’t have such service and you need to provide your own internet. They don’t disclose the 35 people only at the service policy until contract is signed. I suggest get your answers before you go with them. Very disappointed as they have been serving our community for a long time but still have not learned the cultural values.
I will be forever grateful to Jones Mortuary. In 2003, when we lived in Palo Alto, I lost a baby while being five months pregnant. It was something internal with the cord, so the baby could not be saved. Of course we were heartbroken, as this was supposed to be our second child. I went into the hospital at Kaiser Redwood City and the social worker there helped me find Jones Mortuary who made it a policy to give free burial for infants, including stillborns like ours. Naturally we were crushed at losing baby Jonathan, but between Kaiser Redwood City, our wonderful social worker, and the very caring and compassionate people at Jones Mortuary we were able to have a beautiful burial at a Palo Alto cemetery. Our baby was only 22 weeks along. Jones mortuary never charged me a penny. They were kind, considerate, sensitive, and very understanding. They made everything so easy. I don’t know if they are still there because of all the big box stores opening up nearby, but I will be forever grateful and if I never have a chance to visit them again to say hello or thank you, I hope this post will let everyone know how decent and kind they are. I would recommend anyone to them. Blessings to all who read this, and to the good people at Jones.
The best Mortuary in the Palo Alto. Super friendly staff. Reasonable Prices. It was big enough to our needs for my older brother's funeral. Had no problem with anything. Highly Recommend.
Jones Mortuary was a nlessing in disguise. Mr. Jones has a heart full of love, patience, and understanding. He made the final decision making of my parents an easy road to travel down. I am blessed to have had him and his team be there for me and my family when we needed their expertise.
