Love it love love it. Got a beautiful piece this time, spent a while with Jonas, just so cool
Nice studio showcasing a variety of his work, also get to see him working in person! Only wish there were cheaper options for purchase
The man himself was there!! He's super chill and funny. His studio is cool to walk around and some of his pieces change with the lighting. A great visual experience. You get to touch his artwork!
Jonas Gerard has settled 9 (NINE) sexual assault cases out of court. STOP SUPPORTING A SEXUAL PREDATOR!!!
There are many great galleries on Clingamn Ave. This one you should stop at first. If you can try to see Jonas work, it’s awesome.
One of Asheville's finest artists in a cozy and inviting gallery space.
My kids loved this Art experience! Jonas allows you to touch everything in his studio, he and his staff were so kind to my kids. Jonas asked them questions and let us take pictures with him and the nice lady in his studio showed my kids where he painted his work and explained the different mediums he used to create his art. Would highly recommend visiting so as to give your kids an exposure to abstract art and to teach those left brained children an appreciation for art in general.
Fabulous abstract expressionist pieces. You never know when you meet the artist.
Not only is the Artwork stunning, there are"OK to touch" signs everywhere.
The whole building has an artistic vibe and the chairs and tables is a nice touch.
I wasn't a fan of 100% of the art. But I was definitely a fan of the salesperson who was trying to get us to purchase the art. And, quite honestly, that's what I think should be rated for this gallery.
I have been fortunate enough to witness true high class salesmanship a couple times. Once was at this incredible perfume store in Paris. When my wife and I entered, the salesman assumed we were interested in what the store carried, and he was interested in informing our curiosity. Whether or not we ultimately bought something was unimportant. It spoke to a confidence in what he had to offer.
The salesman at the Jonas Gerard Fine Art gallery was the same way. I expressed an interest in one of the paintings, and he informed me about the painting. There was no sizing me up as a real buyer or not a real buyer. That kind of touch in the sales experience makes this a great place to visit.
I attended a live painting performance where I saw Gerard throw paint on a canvas for 35 minutes and slap an $11,500 price tag on it. Simple, easy, talentless.
I see better art hanging in the walls of my child's Kindergarten class.
